Project Mu NS 400 brake pads
I've been running the NS 400's for a few weeks on the street and just did an autox today.
The pads work really well for street use; they don't make any noise and there's only slightly more dust than OEM pads. They were also really good on the autox course and they performed well for all my runs. Pedal feel is good and there is more initial bite. When searching for new pads, I was looking at either Stop Tech Street Performance or Project Mu NS 400's. Both are pretty close in price with the Project Mu's being slighty more expensive. Anybody looking for an upgraded street pad should give the NS 400's a try.

Update
I have a bunch of autox's on these pads now and they're doing really well. They have nice bite, good pedal feel and very little dust. I think they dust less than the OEM pads. Rotor wear seems good and I don't have problems with pad deposits.
The NS400's are a great street/autox pad. |

Any updates on these? Have you had any experiences on other brand pads? I am considering these over the Stoptech Street Pads after reading about pad deposits.

I've used Mintex and Ferodo on my previous cars. The NS 400's are more of a street pad so it's not really fair to compare to them to the Mintex and Ferodos. If you need a good street pad that can handle Autox the NS 400s should be good to go. |

How is the dust on the NS400? I'm also looking into B spec and HC+. Car won't be tracked and if it was, I would dedicate a track pad for it. I just need a very good street pad that can stop if I do an aggressive pull on the street, if that makes sense. |

I have had these on my car for a few weeks now and would like to share my review of them. The Project Mu NS400 pads ran me $200 for front and rear in STI brembo fitment.
Upon arrival, my pads were separated all over the box inside because of cheap shrink wrapping on the pads. The pads are made in Thailand. Compared to other brake pads I have purchased (Hawk, Centric/Stoptech), these have more pad life as the pad material is thicker compared to others. Shims and wear sensors are not included in these. As for performance, they bite pretty good when cold and when warm. I haven't experienced any major fade so far from stop and go traffic to aggressive pulls on highways to complete stops. Dust levels are pretty low compared to other street pads. Overall, these make a great daily pad if you want clean wheels and pretty good performance. |

I've had the ns400 and the hc800, the stopping power of the hc is awesome. but they sure make alot of noise, and they only lasted me 4 months. the ns are good they don't dust very much and their stopping power is decent.

I ran Project Mu NS 400 consecutively for two sets of brake pads but recently installed Hawk HPS and actually prefer the HPS. The Hawks dust more than the Project Mu's but they've yet to squeak and warm up faster. Not sure how they'd compare on track but they're both street pads so...

Ive had the NS400 on the front of my car for around 6 months now. Installed them with some brand new DBA slotted rotors. They are awesome so far, no unusual noises, good fitment in the caliper (my car has the 4pot/2pot brake system), and no complaints about dust.
The only complaint I do have is when they are wet, there is pretty much no braking power at all. A little scary the first time you try to brake after washing your car, or driving on the highway in the rain and you need to slow down. However, it goes back to normal within a few seconds of braking. Never experienced that with stock brake pads. |
