I just installed an invidia catless downpipe on my bugeye and got a cel. Does anyone a tactrix cable that would be able to help me take the light off? I dont have much money, but I could come to you and bring a 6 pack I'm located in the Front Royal area next to Winchester, so if you're close, that'd be great.

its most likely a backpressure CEL because the car isnt configured for the lack of catalytic converter.

No such thing.

We need to know what car this is on. Some subaru's can be tricked with just a rear o2 spacer. Some require the codes be deleted or a simulator be wired in.

Also, go to autozone and see what CEL you got. Save some money and get a proper tune. Do shortcuts and you are asking for more problems in the future.

You just need someone with a tactrix cable and some experience with Bugeyes to pull your map, check a couple boxes, and flash your ECU.

It's not hard... Just too far for me.

Come to the Clyde's meet, BRING A LIST OF YOUR CELs (I cannot stress this enough...), and buy me a beer - We're all square.

Pizza might not even cool off in the small amount of time it takes to do this.

idk guys, IAG explained my CEL code was a result of a catless DP on an 04 STI without a proper tune. the car was rejecting cruise control and eventually threw a CEL/"Cruise" light blink at me. they explained that this was caused by a difference in backpressure that the car wasnt tuned for.

i doubt IAG lied to me to get extra $$, but theres always that possibility. anyway, after i swapped back to an OEM DP the code was cleared and there hasnt been a problem since.

Just checked out the thread for the meet. I usually close on Thursday's since that's the night manager's day off. But we just got another team leader (almost manager that I get to make do things I don't care for) and he should be assuming the role of the backup night shift manager after a couple weeks of training. This is a weekly thing, correct?

There is no such DTC's for back pressure. The codes you had were likely due to the lack of the catalytic converter. It should have a stored code of P0420 catalyst efficiency below threshhold. IAG knows there stuff and I know just as much. Maybe you misunderstood what they were trying to explain?

Definitely a P0420 code, or maybe an overboost.

Bugeyes are not DBW.

I'm not sure if flashing cruise happens with all CELs, honestly. That's a Jake question!

Yep. Any code on a DBW car will make the cruise light flash. Pretty much a worthless light to have.

I beleive he was refferring to his 04 STI.

I'm off on Mondays so that might work. Also just for the added info if you need it. Its an 03 with the catless invidia dp, magnaflow catback, turboxs 50/50 bov, snorkel has been removed, group n trans mount, kartboy subframe bushings, and the pitchstop is filled with silicone. Don't know if any of that helps or not.
