Default Where can I get my FICO score for free?

Anyone know where I can get my FICO score for free? I'm in the process for applying to an apartment, and they gave me the option of providing them with my credit report documents myself to avoid admin fees.

I have my credit reports from annualcreditreport.com, but they don't display FICO.

I believe myfico.com is the only site that will actually give you your true FICO score. All other sites use their own algorithms to calculate an estimate of the score.

They make you pay like 14.99 and call it a "trail". Seems like bait and switch to me.

Call your bank (or better yet, show up in person). Ask about getting an auto loan and ask what rate you'll get. They'll have to look up your score to do this. When they do, ask them what your score is.

They're not supposed to disclose this, but my credit union never fails to tell me anyway.

A hard inquiry will lower your score slightly. I'm guessing by them checking it would be considered hard, right?

Probably. I don't inquire about a loan just to get my score though - only when I need to borrow money to score drugs.

Yes, a hard inquiry will lower your score, and asking your bank to run a report for pricing a loan is definitely a hard inquiry. I just used the creditkarma.com site that Protege Menace mentioned, and it performs a soft check for free.

yes. corroboration: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000...384380556.html

i have used creditkarma, quizzle, and regularly use mint.

also, annualcreditreport.com is the govt/legit site. freecreditreport.com is the non-free scam site. search the newspapers for that one, too, for backup.

Haha. I did the same thing today. I bought my WRX on my line of credit and finally decided to do a proper auto loan. My credit score is 708 and my wife's is 731.. funny thing is she hasn't had a job in a year and a half and is less of a credit risk than I am.

Credit Karma shows it as a 697 so it is 11 points lower than my actual score. I'm not sure which rating bureau the bank used though. Credit Karma used Transunion.

They probably don't want your credit score, and are much more interested in what your current monthly payments and liabilities are.

I will vouch for credit karma. I used it before getting a score/report monitoring service.

Hmm I just used it and I'm a bit confused by the score. It doesn't match any of the three reporting agencies and it's not the average of the three. How do they calculate this score?

Same here...I use it every few months to check it. You have to take their "ratings" with a grain of salt though.

Right now credit karma shows me at a 767, but shows my rating as a "C" because I have 2 credit cards and both have 0 balances. No idea what that is about, but whatever.

768 and had a C in a few categories. That doesn't seem to matter though.

I've been unemployed since August and have good amount of mixed types of outstanding debt, oh, and I just got another auto loan in October. Hopefully my new business takes off or I'm going to have to start selling bodily fluids.
