Default Buying a Porsche gt3 RS

I am very seriously considering buying a new porsche gt3 RS in about a month. I have thought about it pretty hard and am 95% sure I want this car. I have been thinking for about 3 months and I think this will be a good desicion. What do you guys think for cars in this price range? I think the gt3RS at 125k is one hot car.

It's an excellent car if you have the money. My friend just bought one last month and it so much fun just to ride in it.

So I think most agree that it is a good buy. I am not one to go splurge on things. I make 50k a year. I inherited 10 million recently and although I am very conservative with money I do need a nice sports car. I am very nervous about buying it though. This thought in my head,"should I buy it, or not?" "will I regret it if something better comes along?" I have done much research and realized that this is a very complete car with not much dissapointment. I just need the balls to go buy it.

If it makes you feel any better, Porsche's are rated as one of the most reliable cars you can buy (it was number one in one list I saw with Lexus #2, but I don't know how the study was done).

I do know die hard Porsche owners own their cars for a long, long time.

Treat it good, and it will last.

I'm jealous

Holy cow, 10 million!?!? Congrats dude, a 911 GT3 should be a great choice. I would also build up a sick STI if it were me.

So are you going to keep the GL wagon??

I just might keep the GL wagon, why not? I never know when I could use that old wagon for something usefull. I was thinking about getting an sti and building it up, but there are already many done up and I will have a gt3 RS. I will probably build up my wagon with an upgraded turbo to about 300whp and a good street suspension. I inherited the money from my grandpa who owned a lot of property here in So cali. As you already know, beach property here is outrageous. The lot is sold and money should be in my name within a month from what I hear with the lawyer. I am not going to go crazy with this money. I am going to take care of some close family and friends, and make sure I have a secure future. I am going to keep my 50k job a year because I love it. I am very conservative with money, but I do love cars, so I need to take care of myself with a new gt3RS.

Hell, I have friends who want me to buy 500k boat and things like that. I don't need a lot to be happy and I am not a big money person. I love sports cars and track driving. I chose the gters because it's track inspired but very useful on the road. I could afford a cgt or something more extreme, but I know I don't need that nor could use to its potential.

Now colors is the only thing that holds me back from buying it tomorrow. I just can't make up my mind. I really like the all black with orange accents/wheels. I think this is the hardest descion.

Sorry, maybe it does. I am just trying to get some info/advice from car enthusiasts and I know subaru owners are a credible source. OT always brings out many jokers. That is what I like about Subie owners, they know a lot about other vehicles and really understand cars.

I can't see Porsche being one of the most reliable cars....maybe one with some of the highest customer satisfaction surveys. Also, Porsches are either kept and babied for years, or beat to death, then passed aruond like a cheap whore.

If you've got the cash, I'd get the GT3 RS in a heartbeat.....but don't get hosed by the nearest dealer and their "market markup". I'd call around and then fly to pick it up. A roadtrip is a great way to get to know your car!

Edit: While you're at it, buy me one, too. Come on, you know you can afford it! It won't even dent your account balance!

the fact that you say you make 50k a year and inherited 10mil....BS dude!

at 3% (savings acount) you would make 300k a year on your interest alone.

in which case you wouldn't have the least hesitation on buying a 125k car.

edit - i didnt even read all the posts, but now see i was beaten to raising the BS flag
