Default how to: remove stock 07 wrx knob?

Can someone point me in the direction of how to remove the stock 07 WRX knob (aka Leggy GT)

Obviously you unscrew it, but the shift boot is attached to the knob in some fashion and I don't want to break anything trying to pull it off incorrectly.

Thanks alot!

Just use one hand to hold on to the shift boot collar and the other to pop the knob out of there (after you unscrew the knob that is...).
