So, my boss (my main bosses son), got this today:
Pics will come shortly, maybe tomorrow if I can scam the camera from my brother.
A brand new Cayman S. Apparently it's the first one deliverd into Canada. Dark blue, red interior. It's pure sex. He never really reved it up, but at idle it sounded..well, like a pure bred racehorse. It's not as big as pictures make it look. it looks EXTREMELY tossable. Stock 18"s make the huge rotors look tiny. I am VERY jealous. I admit it. It really is one of the nicest Porsches that i've ever seen. And i'm a huge fan of the old 911s, which were, IMHO, the best Porsches. Ever. Like I said, pictures will come very soon. I might even get a ride in it . Discuss the car...3.4L Flat six, 295hp/251lb.ft Even the Gallardo didn't have me this Jealous, maybe because I know I'll never have one.

yeah they designed it to be a 'middle car' not quite boxster, not quite 911.
I personally would have just gotten a used 911 |

911's are like STi's This fits right in where the WRX would. Only..better. It has the handling of a Boxster, and the preformance of a 911. Personally, I REALLY like it. Boxsters are too played out, and it's nice to see an affordable porsche that has some class. Granted, It's not affordable to me, but it's not THAT much more than an 06 STI. |

Oh yeah, my neighbour just bought as new civic sedan.
Now that's baller, yo. That Cayman is a great car, and given a good driver will be faster around a track than a lower model 911. It's MR layout is more inclined to pivot on a tight track, whereas the rear engined 911 has that extra weight in the tail causing it to step out rapidly and keep going around. Older 911's are hell to drive fast. Mmm, blue on red is a nice combo. Great way to spend $80g. You have to get some real pics though. |

Cayman is nice as well, but it will forever have the stigma of "it's not a real Porsche". |

It's pure ignorance put out by those who think the P-car is a be all, end all of automobiles, and the 911 is the ONLY car ever built by Porsche that counts. When someone says something stupid like that, I know there is no reason to continue the conversation. I hate when people speak poorly about such a fine piece of automobilia. |

Hahaha, ya, I mean, at the end of the day, you'd still be driving a Porsche that gets fired up by a Porsche key.
LOL...Coxster...I liked the Ford Asbo as well. |

More info I found out today: His dad, my MAIN boss, is getting one as well. They're also getting a 3rd (!!), to loan out to high-end customers when they need one. . But it's all good, at the end of the day I walk home and hop into my Mid-engined car that cost a fraction of what he paid for that, and relax . |

Have you guys ever driven a 911 or BoxterS. There are both pretty sweet, I mean obviously the 911 but the BoxterS too. Granted I drove a Euro BoxterS in Switzerland, I think they made a few tweaks in Europe, it is an awesome car, It is the first convertable that I would own, bitch slaps and S2000 IMO.
The Cayman is awesome, most reviews give a great thumbs up, and despite what Clarkson said it is a great peformer. |
