Default Does ANYONE make a free flasher/logger for Pre-2001 subie ECUs?

EcuExplorer appears to be gone. I have a version thats a few years old that won't read ECUs before 2001. Well....it won't pull codes but you can log some stuff.

EcuFlash: 2001+ only

RomRaider: Newer subarus only

I have the laptop, I have the cable, and I have something that kinda works. I was hoping to be able to actually look at codes, which due to the processor type in the older ECUs, isn't possible with EcuFlash or EcuExplorer.

Incorrect responses: "Just go buy a code reader"

Um, no.

Only thing you can do really is get a PP6 or something like that, and even then, you are just running a piggyback, not really 'tuning the ECU'. it's not possible.

**** outa luck d000000000000000d

unless you can disassemble the ecu and remove the 'chip', re-flash it, and put it all back.....

subaru was forced to face reality with the JDM 2001(our 2002) MY and use flash memory in the ecu

for codes....ya can get a code reader/analyzer that will do live data streaming for >$250
The Actron cp9180 would be great

My old actron cp9135 wont read live data but has never failed to read codes from any car I have plugged it into......since 2003.....and I have scanned HUNDREDS of cars with it
