I downloaded this, but all that I got was a bunch of zipped files. I unzipped them, but I cannot seem to find the install file to load the program??

I you wnat to flash too you'll need a Subaru specific cable (and the init. connectors) such as the one avalable from http://tactrix.com/

Yes, the flash utility (Ecuflash) works for DBW ECUs, now.

StreetTuner works great if you already have an AP, and with the recent price reduction ($195?) you really can't go wrong, especially if you are new to tuning. Having real-time maps is really nice when tuning as well.
Ecuflash and the associated tuning tools (EcuEdit currently is the only editor that works with DBW ECUs) take a bit of effort to get up to speed, and are still missing a couple important function that StreetTuner doesn't have: Integrated WBO2 logging and reading of ECU learning maps so you can see how the ECU has learned to adjust timing and fuel. But it's pretty cheap, as you only have to pay for the Tactrix cable ($79+shipping). |

EcuFlash also edits DBW ECUs, and computes checksums...

Never mind, the $39 rat shack seriel to usb cable didn't come with the software, had to go to their website and download the drivers. All is good.
