Actually sounds like a driver issue, not a definition issue. Support does not have to be added to log a Subaru ECU since it uses the SSM protocol. To the OP, make sure you try all available com ports from the drop down box. What cable are you using?

There's a thread in the Engine Management forum with it. I grabbed it from there yesterday.

BTW, I don't think the site is "down" so much as "dude quit working on/offering the software"

Here is some software that is really really awesome, I have used it, and I like it a lot better than the tari software, and has the ultimate future for Subaru DataLogging this year.

Do you have to get the cable sold on that site, or can you use the same cables that work with ecuExplorer and Enginuity (I have a Cobb cable that works with those)?

I'll pay for it if I know it works with my cable.

Thanks,

Derek

If I'm reading that website correctly, it'll work with any OBDII -> Serial cable like the V1 Cobb AP Cable.

Looks sweet; I'm tempted to give it a shot.

Yeah, I think you are right. The screenshots show where you can select the cable you want optimize the program for as well. Thanks!

One last question, if anyone knows. Does this thing read ECU trouble codes and clear CEL's?

Sadness. No support for MY06 WRX (USA). Looks awesome too, excellent price.

Ok, how do I pull a logg (ECUExplorer) from the hard drive. I only find CSV shortcut files. I need to get it out and send/post it!

EcuExplorer has been out of development for a very long time now (years?). It's support was only ever for the Tactrix cables.

It also won't log half the stuff RomRaider does (for supported cars). As far as RomRaider, it'll log the ECU directly or a UTEC. AFAIK, it doesn't support any other EM.

Did anyone try to use this with the cable provided by the Access port? I am trying to use it with my laptop, but I am not able to do it. I am not sure if there is a problem with windows Vista, or if I have to purchase one of the cables from that website.

Any input on this will be greatly appreciated.

From the limitless.co.nz website:

"4) serial obdII adapter that will support 10400baudrates, I will post up some circuit diagrams, I have heaps of diagrams.
(just usb cables are supported in EvoScan v2.1 at this stage - support for serial ports will be re-introduced in a later version, as the usb version is far superior.) "

I couldn't get it to work, so I checked back on the website and it looks like only the cable they make or a tactrix cable will work.
Hope that helps!
