Best of luck tho. -Mel |

Mr. Dragon,
Lighten up. I suppose you missed my anxiousness-based humor. |

Uncle Ho, which day are you planning on heading down to the auto show, maybe we can arrange for a bunch of Suby owners/lovers (I'm the latter for now ) to meet up down there.

JC, it is in January at Cobo Hall in Detroit. Don't worry you will see all kinds of stuff about it when it gets closer.

dsmawd,
I usually go during the week to miss the massive crowds. Don't mean to blow you off, but I don't think you'd want to go with me and my family... we're insanely disfunctional. Besides, i'm so opinionated that we'd only end up insulting each other after awhile. Look for the 30-ish Vietnamese guy with a baby pondering how to convince his wife to cough up ~$28k for a Subaru... while being employed by GM. Damn, I wish GM execs would forget about ugly-a$$ Daewoo and buy the rest of Subaru so I can get a discount. But that would just make the rest of this site's fanatics really P.O.'d. |

Heck, rather than buy up the rest of Subaru, GM could start selling some of their Opels over here, and not the watered down Vectras (Saturn L) and Omegas (Caterra) that have been Americanized for our protection. I think something like the Astra would be lot better than the Cavelier/Sunfire they sell around here.

Yotsuya,
Speaking of Astras... last year's NA auto show had GM displaying a beaaaautiful Astra coupe with these 17" wheels!!!! But it was off in a corner and 99% of the people who walked by it did two things: 1) Wondered what in the heck this puny little economy car was doing there taking up space from the gazillion SUVs around and 2) Wondering why I was sitting there drooling over it. I have a Z24 and the one thing that REALLY disappoints me about the Astra is the same thing that disappoints me about my Cavalier. Stupid, antiquated, torsion-beam, rear suspension!!!!! Yuk-ola! VW does the same thing! You'd think we were in the 80's with such a dinosaur suspension still in production! |
