17x8 is 1/2" wider. What size tire do you plan to put on? Do you ever plan to go much wider than stock?

The Rota G-Force Gun Metallic is available in 17x7.5 +48 and 17x8 +48 5x100 for the Subaru Impreza. As Tim has mentioned, the difference in the wheels is a 1/2" in width.

If you plan to run a 215/45/17 or 225/45/17 then you will be fine with the 17x7.5 wheel. If you ever plan to run a wider tire for aggressive street or track driving then I would recommend going with the 17x8 wheel.

Also for lugs you want to get a lug that has a 12x1.25 thread pitch.

Hope that helps and if you have any other questions be sure to post them!

I just purchased this exact wheel - only in Hyperblack. I went 17" x 8 so I could run a 235 45 17.

I highly recommend Dan and www.wheeldude.com. They were a pleasure to deal with.

17x7.5 is already wider than stock. i run larger wheels (18x8, 225/40-18) on the street, smaller on the track (17x8, 245/40-17). if you really want 17's, i'd recommend 17x8.

fer sher, you should see AT LEAST a 5mpg increase with every 1/2" wider you go.
