OK, so now I am really pissed. As I posted on the other thread, I paid $9.95 for an "080" filter from my local dealer.
After Subie Gal posted her dealers pricing, I just called my dealer and was quoted $6.95 for 6 or more. Subie Gal's price is $5.25 each. How the hell can dealers vary so much in pricing these days? I will obviously be buying my filters from Subie Gal for the lower price, and I won't have to pay tax to boot! Man, this local dealer(who I bought my car from at a great price, so obviously they try to make it up elsewhere) really pisses me off. Last edited by JH225; 10-09-2003 at 01:17 PM. |

I've also noticed some fluctuation in dealer pricings.. in fact I've noticed that one dealer depending on which salesman I get in parts i'll get completely different prices.. whack?! I hate being at the mercy of location.

Just curious, if you dont like the prices that dealers are giving you for oil filters, why don't you go with an aftermarket one?
Purolator (which makes the oil filters for subaru) already came out with the PureOne for the 2004 WRX STI (stock # PL14612), also you can usually find crushwashers online for around $0.45 a piece. |
