on some crazybuilt motors of other types i had to drill a small air bleed hole in the throttle plate to get them to idle , usually high lift cam motors with low vacuum signal at idle
this gave enough air for it to run w/o opening the throttle plate and killing velocity

I was able to get it working pretty good just by adding a bunch of timing at idle.
On the DBW subaru I should be able to crack the throttle plate more open with the ECU rather than drilling holes, I did mess with that a little but ultimately the timing did the trick. I still can die if I go from like full on WOT pull to neutral and then heavy on the brakes but otherwise its ok |
