Can anybody comment on the fit of http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C6E7HO0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 for a 2015 WRX? Will I need hubcentric rings? I did some calcs to compare to stock the outside diameter, how far the wheel sticks out, and how far the tire sticks out. All the measurements are close to stock.
I need a set of winter wheels and was having a hard time finding steelies. I love the look of a Subaru in the snow with steelies Numbers: Stock Wheel/Tire: 17x8, +55mm offset, 56.1mm bore, 5x144.3" 235/45 R17 Dunlop SP Steel Wheel: 17x7, +35mm offset, 72mm bore, 5x4.5" (link) 205/50 R17 General Altimax Arctic (link) - Outside edge of WHEEL is 0.29" further out from hub face - Outside edge of TIRE is 0.20" further out from hub face - Outside diameter of TIRE is 0.26" smaller I also compared the steel wheel and winter tire combo to various 18" wheel/tire combos on this site, and the steely is smaller in all 3 measurements than most of those. My thinking is that if the steely is (slightly) larger that the stock wheel, but smaller than the 18's people are running, I'm in the window of fitment. TIA for any help. |

It's actually painted grey metallic. It just looks darker cause of the shadows.

I'd rather have a narrower tire in winter vs taller.

This is what I've been reading (in general), which is why I went with 205/50. The 205's were also about ~$10 cheaper (per tire) than the 225's on TireRack. A 225/50 does add 0.40" of height over the 205/50, so if you're worried about ground clearance, that would be a good option. |

Been looking everywhere on forum so I thought I'd ask here since many of you guys know wheels. I rashed my 2015 base STI wheels. I could not find any paint code to patch it up.

Stupid question but if 18x9.5 +35 fit would 18x9 +40 be better or worse with 245/40 18s? It seems not a lot of people are running this size.
