It looks really good imo.
Auto pilot standard on all model 3's and 0-60 in less than 6sec even on the base models 3 with a minimum range of 215 miles. Whats not to like

Same here. It's done. This will be next car. When he said even the base will be 0-60mph in under 6 seconds I felt good about the deposit I made earlier. I hope the more performance orientated options won't be outrageous. I have a hard limit I'm setting for myself. Skipping the autopilot, just give me the power.

If past pricing holds, performance model will start at 55k, top out at 70k maxed out. I'd bet on 0-60 in the 2's unless they try to make you go upmarket to the S for that. edit - although the S isn't maxed out yet. Let's see if the 100kWh pack has enough power output to max out the motors. There's another 100kW (not h) that could be put to the ground... |

Anyhow, I went from zero to interested and back in that millisecond. And then I thought about you I knew you were sold. Imagine how incredible a wagon could have been? I could see dropping $40k on that. Old Musk is probably too weary to ever consider that, though it would kill in most other markets. |

DAT nose doe...
Maybe I'm clinging to aesthetics that are obsolete with the lower cooling requirements of an EV. Still... Not sure if I could live with that. The rest of the car looks great though. Who are all of these 115,000 people willing to put in a deposit on a car that they haven't even seen a picture of yet? |

I can't wait to have one. I didn't put a deposit down though, either it will be available when I'm ready or it won't.
Chevy needs to get the Bolt to < 6s to 60 mph. |

For me, Doll and Subaru's lack of support for their current and previous performance hatch customers sent me off to try other things. With the EV, I've gotten used to fueling my car at home in the garage, and for free. The lack of fuel costs is noticeable, as is the lack of dealer visits for maintenance. My car is just a little commuter, slow, etc, but it was only leased to test the space. When I drove the P85D I was sold on this brand. It's an American company making innovative chit, and oddly will be my first American car. I just hope I can get the dual motors for a decent cost. Even the base performance is an increase to what I have now, and sufficient for a DD, so I'm quite sure the upper trims are going to be fast. I'd be heavily surprised if a version isn't offered that does 0-60 in under 5, or under 4. Actually I'd bet money on either being offered. These aren't track cars, they are DD's, so the performance offered is excellent. |

People who can't afford a Model S but can afford a 30-45k version. Many of them have either ridden in the S or driven one themselves. One drive in a dual motor Tesla, well many would want one after that test drive. If I could afford a P90D, it'd already been in the garage.

This is a car I have honestly been excited to see, I watched the reveal today on Tesla's site (also the first reveal I've watched in ages). I likely will not get a first year run car, probably not even a second year run as if they are as good as they are supposed to be the demand will be greater than the supply, but man am I looking forward to getting one. So long modern I.C.E. hello modern EV. (note: I will still keep my 66 mustang, it's a nightmare with regards to fuel economy, handling, braking, and every other measurable metric, but I love it.)

Granted the interior may not be final, but the ergonomics of not having the speedo behind the wheel is a little
That gray Model III they had on stage was fire, though |

IMO it's a very nice looking car but the lack of a front grill makes it look a bit odd. Even if the car doesn't require the cooling effect of a front grill they should have put a fake grill or some black opening like an EVO X, Focus RS, Audi, Lexus, etc for aesthetics.

I like the Model III, been in discussions with the wife about whether to put down a deposit or not. I think we're going to wait.

From the first drive videos it seems that there are three options. All fixed glass, metal roof overhead, or an opening moonroof. |

Awesome. That will be one way to knock the price down some. Price will escalate from metal roof, to moonroof, to pano glass being the most expensive. Skip the roof options and get the D!

Yeah but it will be an OTA update if you want to buy it later, like it is on the Model S.

I personally will choose whichever roof option has the most headroom and offers the clearest view of traffic lights. I loathe modern swoopy rooflines that crop out the top portion of my front and front-side view. Make that same roofline with glass and make the door frame big enough that I don't have to duck in and I'll be happy.

From an article I read Quote:
The grill area is starting to not be as hideous, I will probably buy one when some of the hype dies down and you can order one with a reasonable wait time. There's a supercharger less than a mile from work. |

I like that roof. In the Model S, at least, the pano roof gained headroom, iirc. |
