Subaru Stars 10th Annual 48hrs of Tristate goes West! Jan 13-16

To all my MWSOC friends...

Some of you may or may not know what The 48hrs of Tristate is. It is a charity drive that we've run in the Tristate for the past 9 years. Essentially it's a 900-1500 mile road trip with anywhere from 5 (first year) to 50+ (last year) subies over the course of 2-3 days. This year we decided that since SOA always hosts us at their headquarters for the kickoff and they asked us if we would be interested in getting a tour of the SIA plant in Indiana, we would do it!

Last year we raised over $35,000 for The American Cancer Society from 60 drivers. The way it works is that each driver signs up and has a minimum donation. For every $10 that you donate or raise under your name, you will get a thank you raffle ticket where we have a drawing at a sitdown dinner during the trip. The past few years we gave away over $10,000 worth of prizes mostly from Subaru Vendors here on NASIOC.

I'm reaching out to the MWSOC folks because we are planning on being in Indiana and Cinci! We would love to have some of the MWSOC folks join up for all or part of the drive and raffle and plant tour!

Details on the trip can be found at http://48hrs.info

Where are you planning on stopping/refueling cause I would recommend NOT staying downtown due to ridiculously high gas prices. Slightly North of the city would be your best bet.

There are tons of really good hotels...if you guys like water parks Key Lime Cove is a good choice : )

www.48hrs.info is where you will find all the details.

IMPORTANT NOTE
if you want to join us for the SIA or SOA tour you MUST register, if your not reg'd at least 7 days prior to the drive you will NOT be allowed on the tour. NO EXCEPTIONS. these are not "our" rules, only people on the registered list 7 days prior will be allowed.

TiC will also be hosting a visit to their shop on friday jan 14th, 2011.

we are expecting to have around 75 cars leaving from SOA to head out to SIA and back. i expect to see 100 cars at some point during the trip.

help us raise $50,000 this year!

Also be sure to check the door prize list. The more money you raise, the more you can potentially win from the door prize raffle!

if they want to go on the tour and have lunch at SIA they NEED to register a minimum of 7 days before the drive. we will be sending a the list of registered people off to SIA 1 week before the drive so they can do all the security stuff and have a good head count for the lunch, not on the list you dont get in period.

we will be arriving very late on thursday night to the holiday inn on north mt. zion rd lebanon IN
