Yeah they actually told me it would be at least 13 weeks... probably more. Plus I've been trollin' this thread since August so I know that I can expect at least 3 and 1/2-4 months which is fine because I'm saving for a bigger down payment anyways.

I'm still trying to figure out the details on mine but someone on SOA promised she is digging deeper to find out what's going on. I'm at Irvine Subaru and have been checking online inventories for a few dealers in CA and they all have tons of stuff still listed in transit. Seems like they have mostly sold through what they have on the lot and are waiting for the shipment just like we are...

ETA still 1/18
SOA finally got back to me and said I should expect to take delivery on the 18th at the latest and "call the dealer on Tuesday for an update ", so I'm assuming that means she'll be here Tuesday!

I can't pick it up until next Friday anyway so this should work out well.

I'm going to have to reapply in APR/MAY. The approval only has a 30 day hold on it.

Will my rates get jacked because of this? Has anyone else ever encountered this problem where you have to apply twice because of waiting for your vehicle to come in?
You shouldn't have had to apply for financing if you weren't signing the papers. A dealer should know better, unless you specifically asked to check your scores or you called chase yourself.

Quotes are only good for 30 days, like you said, then you will have to run another credit check.

Technically it shouldn't hurt your credit score, but every time you apply for financing it goes on your record as a "hard pull", and other agencies / lenders can see this. It probably won't effect whether you get approved or not, but could knock your score down a couple point for a while. Don't worry too much, but now you know for next time.

I have Tier A (783) credit score and Subaru financin won't budge below 2.9%. Found a local Credit Union with 2.2% so I went with the CU.

I'm not sure if all banks work like mine but I just got off the phone with my local credit union and they said that my credit check is good for 6 months but the application is only good for 30 days so when the car gets here I have to put in another app (which doesn't affect my/your score, only the initial credit check does) but basically my credit check is good for the next 6 months.

A hard credit check stays on your credit score for 2 years. Having a lot of hard checks will drop your score a few points but nothing major. Its usually bracketed, I don't remember the exact numbers, but 1-2 is A, 3-5 is B, 6-8 is C, etc. or something similar to that. Those checks accumulate in a 2 year rolling period. After two years the hard check goes away.

That happened to mine...dropped from being tier 1into tier 2 financing by 1 point. Was only $10 difference but still annoying.

Bought mine at Grand Subaru in Elmhurst, IL.

Put my order in on October 20 something, arrived January 7, just picked up today.
Definitely not disappointed. Kinda surreal actually. Also I suck at taking pictures.

I sent you a friend request

Lol, I think you and I ordered from the same dealer. I got around invoice, but they threw in 1200 worth of accessories for me

Add me man... we'll probably be getting our cars around the same time, and we can take a victory lap together(no homo).

PS, there is a dealership that will let you test drive a used 2011 if you want to. Dude let me take it down 270 and back. Real nice guy too.

Well. As of 11AM this morning I am officially done with this tread.

WRB STi Hatch w/ Navi and Autodim mirror w/ compass
Ordered: 9/15
VON: 9/15
Hold: 10/10
Pulled off Hold: 12/11
ETA 1: 1/10 (received on Dec 11)
ETA 2: 1/11 (received on Jan 10)
Picked Up: 1/11

I will come back and put more pictures tomorrow when I get the DSLR out. Quick question, do the 5-Door STis come with the foot well lighting stock? If not it is a nice little surprise that I never paid for.

It's not the upgraded "footwell illumination kit". They come with accent lighting that goes on when you open the doors, and fade out with the dome / map lights.

Whereas the footwell illumination kit stays on with the DRL / headlights and reacts to the dimmer controls.

The sti accent lighting isn't quite as cool IMO since it turns off while driving AND you have to take them out and replace them if you want the illumination kit. Also, apparently it can be tricky to rewire it from reading around on some posts here.
