What the He!! is wrong with people? (kinda long)
Ok, as most of you probobly do, every time you get that next paycheck you spend it right on the scooby. I know I do. I love my car, and I spend alot of time, money and efforet into my car. But as of late I have been having some really bad luck, starting, Friday the 13th. Well that was the day I got my clear turn signals stolen right off my car in my schools parking lot. (I know who you are if you are reading this.) Then not even three days later, I go to the local diner to meet up with some friends, come out, and notice that someone ripped off one of my headlight eyebrows (120 dollars painted) gone. I have a full kit sitting in my room waiting to be put on but now I'm rethinking it. There is defintly something wrong with people theise days. I guess Im going to have to get a perimeter alarm. More money I have to spend involunarly. Oh well, I guess people will always be ignorant.
Sorry for such a long rant, I've had the worst week. -Chris |

My car is totaly de badged and I would never deface it with a bumper sticker or anything like that but I found one that was perfect. It has a revolver pointing at you with a huge bore. The text on it says: "I value my car more than I value your life" I picked one up and stuck it on the sunshade I useso the message is clear. I would have no problem shooting a vandal unless it was a VERY young child (under 10).

That blows freakin donkey schlong, man. That is one thing that scares me about getting an impreza - vandalism. Of course, with the a-holes today, it'd probably happen to any type of modded car...I'm pissed

I've thought of hooking up a cam in my car that gets activated with my perimeter alarm. One beep and the cam goes on, recording the fool that decides to screw with the scoob.

piper, you will go to jail for manslaughter for shooting somebody who is just trying to break in to your car. You can't shoot someone unless you are in mortal danger. That means carry another gun and after you shoot him put it in his hand. Seriously though, you can't.

Carry a medieval mace. One whack of that rusty weapon should knock some sense into the vandal's head....just don't knock his head off.

That's why I thought KITT was the kewlest car bar none! It can protect itself. Also the Batmobile is neat too as it can shield up herself.

Chris, Do you go to Neshaminey? I graduated from there 10 years ago. I lived in Silver Lake up behind Maple Point. Haven't been back that way for like 6 or 7 years. Still talk to some of my old pals though.

The laws depends on the state. Some states allow deadly force to protect property. Some states won't allow you to shoot an armed intruder in your own house. Go figure.

As long as its either your life or theirs, you shouldn't have any problems. No jury in the united states would convict you for shooting someone who attacks you and is about to kill you. When shooting is your only option, it ok.

If someone is bending the antenna on my car or prying off the wing as far as I am concerned they have voided all protection under the law. If the law provided for use of lethal force in property protection this sort of theft would drop. A potential wing thief might think very hard about it had he attended the funeral of his friend who tried the same thing just a few days before. The bottom line is my child/car/house/ etc. is more important to me than the life of someone who would harm or take them.

surveillance cameras put those babies up and send it to the police and maybe they can do something wait, now that i think about it, i dont think they would care much would they? dont they got bigger things to handle then a simple car thief? hm, ok on second thought, how about this! : surveillance cameras hooked up to a small TV that you hold in your hand and can watch. this way you can run to your car when someone wants to mess with it. Also hook up a spekaer from your little panel screen so you can yell at people going I SEE YOU AND IM RUNNING AFTER YOU RIGHT NOW!!!! hahaha, that would be cool.... but sorry to hear you got your stuff stolen, that really sucks. |

Yeah. People can be real bastards. I was visiting my g-freind in DC a while back. Unfortunately I have to park my car on the street, but at least it's RIGHT outside her apartment, under a street light, and the police station is RIGHT around the corner. Anyway.....I head out to my car Sunday morning to head home, and what do I find? My rear wing is GONE!! Someone just RIPPED it off. The bolts are still in the TRUNK!! How PISSED was I?!! I vowed NEVER to visit her in my car again. So...$400 later I have a new wing without the RS stickers on it. I WAS going to get a V5 wing, but I figured I'd be even MORE pissed if that got stolen. Now I keep my car in my gated community, in my garage, with the alarm on!

thats one thing I'm scare about (the spoiler). I just ordered my 22B wing and I have heard many stories about people ripping off other's stuff. My question is this...is it possible to maybe glue it on also? I mean the bottom part is compltely touching the trunk? So if you sort of glued it, wouldnt that not allow them to rip it off? but then again, they probably would end up ripping off the wing portion.
