Yea it sound fun but back in 1992 I was hit with a drag racing and I lost my license for six months and my job. Now we have road racing laws that are even stiffer than they were then about six or seven years ago in Morgantown there was a kid on the interstate 79 that was racing another car. The trooper pulled managed to pull one of them over the other one never stopped. The kid that stopped was put in jail, and lost his license for seven years, that’s right seven years. The same thing happened to my friend in Pennsylvania back in 1995 he lost his for five years. Not to scare you but there is consequences for breaking the law and they are harsh

It is actually a time-speed-distance road rally. In case you are unfamiliar with it, at no time should you be breaking the law during the event.

A TSD (time-speed-distance) rally consists of a set of instructions specifying a route to travel, and a speed at which to travel. A team, consisting of a driver and a navigator, attempt to travel the specified route at exactly the specified speeds. A TSD rally is not a race. Traveling too fast results in penalties as does traveling too slowly and no rally will ever require you to drive in a reckless or illegal fashion. Arriving too early at a checkpoint hurts your score, as does arriving too late. You are scored on how closely to the correct time you arrive. The rally route generally takes you over lightly traveled rural roads in the scenic countryside.

I'd definitely like to try rallycross (I may try to make the one at Oakland Acres on 15 Oct).

I live in Morgantown. With my daily driver luxobarge, I'd rather auto-x than rally-x, but I'd definitely attend and help.

I would be interested, but I'm moving out of town before then.

Here are some forums and groups where you might find people who are interested:
http://www.specialstage.com
http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/wdcprorally/
http://www.phillyscca.com/forum/

But, most people would probably come from your local SCCA region and from Pittsburg's region ("Steel Cities" I think?).
