Default MJ Acquisitions purchasing majority of Saleen’s assets

Quote:
A few months after the company made public its intentions of exploring the sale of its operations talks intensified about the likelihood of the sale of Saleen, Inc.

The company, which is currently owned by Hancock Park Associates of Los Angeles who bought it from Steve Saleen some years ago, has just been maintaining quite a few dozen personnel to keep business afloat until a potential buyer is found. The official word is that MJ Acquisitions will be purchasing majority of the assets of the firm as well as car production and the aftermarket division.

The assets that will stay with Saleen include the S7, S5 Raptor and the paint operations. At present all of Saleens employees are out of work, however, MJ Acquisitions intends to hire many of the laborers including those that were laid of earlier.

With ownership of several car companies and wide-ranging engineering and production experience with performance vehicles, AJ Acquisitions seem to be the right buyer for Saleen, Inc. Among the list of its first projects as the new owner, MJ Acquisitions is planning to develop a 2010 Mustang for the Racecraft marquee together with the latest models from Saleen that is set to be premiered in the third quarter of this year.
