Lowered my car tonight I'm so happy with how it turned out, it took awhile but it was totally worth it. For anyone who is going to ask I lowered it 1.4" in the rear and 1.5" in the front. And they're h&r springs. And it looks much lower in person. |

Nope, just a little metal squealing sound that happens the first time I break when I start driving. I don't feel any reduction in braking power either. Just broke 50k miles on the car and I'm pretty sure its the original equipment. Thanks a bunch.

Received my mint condition 2008 WRX sedan black carpet. Going to start stripping the interior today for my new carpet install and black seats im picking up later this week.
Also going to keep searching for a new fuel pump, most likely going the salvage yard route since the stealership wants list price of $395. Also, found out through a local OEM auto parts store that there was a recall on the 2008 Impreza fuel regulator, which is only a $77 part. Going to check the power output on this and the pump to verify what exactly is the problem with my car. Guess it was a good time for my pump to fail on my car since I already planned on removing the entire interior anyways for my carpet swap. Very suprised how little information their is on the internet for 2008-2010 Impreza cars when it comes to maintenance problems. I'm coming from 5 years on this forum.... 2002-2004 Audi A4 Tech Forums , http://www.audizine.com/forum/forumd.../77-B6-A4-Tech |

Manually ran power straight from the battery to the fuel pump... Was able to hear the pump run and tried to start the car, still nothing. Factored out the fuel pump being the issue. Car has spark. Anyone have any reasonable idea's as to what can keep this car from starting? Ran perfect up until I turned the key off at work on Thursday, what the hell. No information on this model car ANYWHERE on the internet or forums.

If the fuel pump is a recall from Subaru, why not have it fixed from the dealership for free? I have never heard of this recall and we have the same car (besides mine is a 5sp and yours an auto). I get my car serviced at the dealership and they check for recalls every time. In fact, they just checked yesterday while I was their. |

Turn on your low beam lights, all interior lights. once your done with that, hold down the Highbeam light, and then roll down your window. If your high beams dim, that means your battery isn't really capable to start your car and is dying.

I can hear the relay click under the passenger glovebox when I turn the key to "accessory" but I can't find the fuel control unit in this car... want to test that and see if it's the problem on why the pump isn't priming. Last edited by DownhillSubie; 01-27-2013 at 09:35 PM. |

Im pretty sure even though a battery may be fully charged, it isn't able to push its amps if it is infact dying. |

It sounds like it is turning over, but not starting. Could be a million things. I'd hook up a code reader to it.

First thing I did when the car wouldn't start the other night was that I hooked up my analyzer, 0 codes. |

Does anyone else feel like we're playing a game of clue? Was it downhillsubi, in the garage, with a socket wrench?
Wish I could help, ever think about the steering column lock and ignition switch cylinder? It's probably been started a million times, could be the failing to send the signal to prime the pump? |

Just for fun, could you hook the battery directly to the fuel pump, then try and start it at the same time, that way you will know if it's just not getting a signal, I don't know

So it is not the fuel pump relay nor the fuel pump. Next step is to pull the ECM and see if their is a grounding problem. Was able to fire up the car today for the first time.
