Default Difference in rotated 30r sizes (both .60 comp/ .82 hotside)

just wondering what differences these 2 sized 30r's would make

old perrin kit came with 2.5" hotside (only necks down to this for 3/4"-1") and there is a t4 style flange on the up-pipe

all newer kits look like they came w/ 3" hotside and t3 style up-piped flange

wondering cuz with the first combo of parts I still put out rediculously good power, so it must have been a good combo with the huge up-pipe let out

just for info, the pump map is our 91 octane out here in CA on 23psi (pretty much never used this map)
race was on c-16/ 27psi (used this only a few times)

99% of the time it was on 19-21psi/340-365whp on pump and the few times I used race gas it was on 24psi/425whp half those times

I'm guessing you are talking about the 2 different outlet styles? One is a T31 housing (T3 inlet, 2.5" outlet) and the other is a Garrett GT housing (T3 inlet, 3" GT outlet).

I don't think there would be much of any difference since all the downpipes made for a T31 housing quickly flare up to 3", and all the Garrett GT-Style housings still has the same size turbine, but simply has the "flare" to 3" cast as part of the turbine housing.

It seems to be "6 of 1, 1/2 dozen of the other."

that bastard dyno sheet looks just like the 30R STi that we've been working on!!!! Right now we regaped our plugs... so we're looking to dyno the car again. But that power curve looks just like ours!!!!!!

I do question if it's spark blow that's why it stopped making power and torque drops quickly.
