Yes, I'm curious myself. Especially on the these garbage Michigan roads. I didn't want the yellows...going for a more mild/subtle drop and hoping to improve the handling/steering feel a bit. Currently, it's a fairly compliant ride on the rough roads so I'm hoping it's not TOO adversely affected.

That's what I want to know. I call on some places I should probably have a truck for and I'm worried about going much lower. At the same time I'd like to improve higher speed turns on not perfect pavement. Our road quality is similar.

The RCE 'Regular Guys' are installed. Initial impressions are the ride is 90% as compliant as the stock setup which is awesome. The steering feels a bit tighter/stiffer which is also a good thing IMO. I haven't been able to test the cornering at speed yet.
Here's a pic with them on and a comparison to stock ride height. It's a VERY subtle drop...more noticeable in front (the rears look the same for now honestly). I assume some settling will occur over the next 500 miles.

Stock (top) and RCE (bottom) comparison:

Did you get to push it on some choppy curves yet?

Not really. Unfortunately someone did this:

I'm hoping to get it back soon. It's at the dealer waiting on the glass. My limited time on the springs is positive though. The ride isn't adversely affected and the steering feels more responsive and a bit tighter. There is a small improvement in body roll, but I haven't had a chance to really push it yet.

Quick update on the springs as well. I'm enjoying them and no regrets.
Things to note:
  • Slightly more bump steer, but it's insignificant
  • Stiffer ride, but still plenty compliant IMO
  • Initial turn-in and steering corrections are both improved
  • Body roll is improved
  • Overall steering feel is improved
  • Front drop is more noticeable than the rear drop, but I'm fine with the overall results

F**k you, Photobucket. I'll be fixing my links since Photobucket now wants to charge $400 for an annual hotlinking ability. My photos are now stored with Amazon Photo.

Yeah, thanks. I thought about another free hosting site, but there is always that risk that they'll follow suit. I already have a Prime membership so it's included with no photo limitations or compressing.

Default My Slow & Lame Build Thread

Actual car update...
Friday I have an appointment to address a few things.
1. My passenger front door doesn't open from the inside (likely a remnant of my break-in)
2. Getting an alignment (still determining if I want a custom one)
3. Addressing a horrible passenger dash rattle that is beyond a typical Subaru rattle.
4. Getting latest ECM flash (released Apr 2017) / Item code: 11-171-17

Reprogramming File Availability for Spark Knock (Ping) This bulletin announces the availability of reprogramming files to optimize the ECM and address isolated customer concerns of a spark knock (engine ping) -type sound.

Today I ordered the F1 Motorsports CVT Transmission Cooler Upgrade.

I will be mounting this in front since I'm using the stock TMIC. It can be mounted in either place.
