Angry Major Issues with My 2019 Outback

Hi,

I was wondering if others are having similar issues with their Outbacks. The first major issue was with the radio/infotainment screen. Early on I noticed that the preset stations would vanish every now and then, but then things got much worse. Later on, the radio would start acting sporadic. It would change stations and sources (f.m./a.m.) on it's own. It would even open other settings like the sound levels and blue tooth.

I took it to our local dealership and they said the only thing I could do was to have the radio replaced which would cost $2400.

Fast forward to this week and now I can't fill up our gas tank because there is an issue with the charcoal canister. The same dealership said it would need to be replaced and would cost $1400.

Again the car is a 2019 with only 70k miles.

Sounds like your dealer is screwing around with you. My dealer did that for a while until people stopped bringing their cars there for repair. They'll make some pretty decent deals if they're not pushing through enough repair work; it's the only way I got a few things on my ratty 1999 Outback fixed. Otherwise, they gouge you.

Sometimes it helps if you mention which dealer it is in the forum (or search for posts about that dealer). Others may have already complained about them.
