Post Anyone have proven benefits from JCS TCII??

Does anyone have a dyno test or 0-60 times or 1/4 mile times to prove the benefits of the Torque chip II?? I couldn't find anything with a search, just all "it's supposed to . . ." stuff. I am looking for proven results. I am serously considering getting this but $250 is a lot to spend on something that might do nothing! Thanks for the help!

Bill

We have been working with a local 4-wheel-dyno company in Boulder to get a number of tests done on our products. Stay tuned we will put up figures for the TCII real soon!

Sounds good to me!! Let us know as soon as you get those together!! Cuz that is most likely the last deciding factor in me buying one. So if your lookin for another loyal customer, give us those figures as soon as possble.

What the heck does a processed or non-processed REFUND have to do with the TCII. Jeezz...

It doesn't, but it has to deal with the customer service quality of its vendor.

hey now, in their defense, I bought an intake off of them during the summer. 130 shipped for a normally 180, non-shipped? That's a pretty good deal. Yah, it was a month a half wait.. but so what? that's part of GBs. There's not ONE groupbuy i've been in that hasn't messed up. Even rallispec, CTC, TRi, and other "reputable" vendors have trouble with GBs.

Yea GBs. are like that... but your getting the deal so... I usually am patient... with GBs... I still don't have half my stuff from GBs...

I've bought from JC SPorts a lot and its been fine... Shipping and DHL usually give me the delays... I just think that THAT GB should not be put in this context... Its been so blow out of proportion. I’ve bought through them NOT through GB’s and its been fine… I just wanted to say everyone gets their own service problems... even walmart...

By the way back to the title at hand… I’m getting the TCII and Its sounds a lot better then any piggy back for that price… I’m gonna do some tests when I get it this week…

You can check this thread. In short, JC Sports was unable to fulfill a turbocharger kit group buy after 4 months beyond their forecasted delivery date. Their repeated poor customer service and misinformation caused me to take them up on their offer to cancel my order. The requested refund is for the $1000 deposit I placed for this kit in October. Quite a few people in that buy decided to cancel.

I recommend you do a search on the board for JC Sports before you decide to deal with them.

I too would like more info on the Torque Chip, as I'm looking for a helper with the stock ECU without needing a AFC.

Thanks- Jon

Prices aren't really all that different - TCII sells for $250, and you can get the Apexi SAFC for $300.

The TCII doesn't have half the associated tuning problems the SAFC has either. Your not going to Kill your motor with a TCII.

I think we've all seen this post enough, but we are waiting for proven results, not just hearsay. So as soon as I see some proof, I'll be on the phone with someone from JC Sports

Please keep us appraised, JC Sports and others who are testing this. As a 99 owner, I'd like to richen up the top end, and gain this "black boxes" other tricks.....Real world info/numbers would be great.

With the Torque chip I, hi-flow fuel pump, 2 1/2 exhaust, intake, and lightweight pulley, this thing flies. It has cut about 1-1.5 seconds off of its 1/4 mile time. 0-60 happens in about 7-7.5 here at 6000ft. altitude. I kept up with a 99 Mustang GT from a rolling start. It needs headers, high flow cats and a flywheel now . That should do 0-60 in about 6-6.5 here in Denver. But yeah...the torque chip works great .
