the sport legacy has finally received the engine it deserves, and serves as an alternative to the wrx cvt trims in the case of cost to purchase and insure as it is not a sports car. are they trying to go after the camry TRD ![]()

![]() you have to wonder now however. now that the legacy sport comes standard with 2.4 turbo, does this give STI an excuse to introduce a ts version of the legacy simply building on the sport and adding a manual as an option to the standard automatic. it gives old 2.5 gt automatic owners something to switch to. but why have new legacy sport and wrx cvt compete with each other

![]() The front at least has a bit of style with the refresh. The current one is really vanilla looking. I'm surprised that it doesn't have a lot of unpainted plastic considering all the other models getting a whole bunch.

![]() that mid-grill mustache is weird, mostly the fact that it tucks under the headlights.
really confused what Subaru is doing with the tuning of these engines... wrx has 11 more hp but 19 ftlbs less torque? |

![]() I like it! The front is now interesting and sporty. Grill is a little big, but the design is decent. Sport trim with FA24 sounds like a great package. Maybe Subaru will use those fancy new struts the WRX gets. The optional STI WRX quad tips would look cool on this if they fit.
Edit: They don't fit booo ![]() Last edited by 4S-TURBO; 05-12-2022 at 12:04 PM. |

![]() The entire front is different. It's a mid cycle refresh. The Sport gets the red accent.

![]() The JDM WRX gets the 11 hp bump and no torque deficit. It seems it may be linked to the MT available here as the JDM WRX is CVT only. Unfortunately we will likely not know for sure as seeing a MT in the Legacy or any turbo model as slim to none.

![]() I already said this to Justy, but I'll share with ya'll here:
Why does the Legacy look more aggressive than the WRX? Subaru is ridiculous. |

![]() Man, who cares? M sport BMW models all look alike and share pretty much all the same hardware. It would be great if Subaru gave the Sport Legacy the adaptive suspension, Recaros, SPT with 4.44 gearing and quicker/firmer convertor lockup plus all those seam welds.
One gripe I got is these ugly 18 inch wheels that get swallowed up by these huge sedans. They look like 16's. |

That Legacy isn't bad, just needs a better lower bumper and to remove the plastic. Give it a S60R type lower bumper. Agreed. It's like a weird concept car mustache. |

![]() ![]() Yeah could be worse. But it's better than the current yawn fest. At least they didn't give up on painting the front entirely. |

![]() The bar through the headlight look is present in the current Legacy as well as on the Levorg and WRX. They just decided to accentuate it by finishing it with separate pieces rather than keeping the molded bumper skin. I think it looks cool. And I dig this headlight design. Sporty yet proportionate to the front end. The WRX headlights are too small for how large the front end is. They help make the front end look sporty, but at the same time they add to feeling the front end is so disproportionately huge for such a small car.
I dunno, if I were at a dealer shopping an SPT Premium or Limited trim WRX for high 30's, I might find myself getting into this instead. |

![]() I feel like this redesign is worse than the original of this generation and it was damn awful. That grill and bumper just needs to be Office Spaced.
BRZ is the only good looking vehicle they have from the factory. Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk |
