my current mods are:
stromung dualtip cat back
rally armor mud flaps
k&n air filter
painted headlights

or any suggestions of something instead?

Would it make that much of a difference? I've been thinking of going for a lighter pulley as well. Not anything underdriven, just lighter.

Are you serious?!? I did my 07 with COBB adjustable SS and bushings and it made a huge difference. The OEM bushing was about the same density as a nerf football. 100% serious. Now i need some tranny oil to help me row those gears faster cuz the syncros make it quite notchy. feels good though. much better than stock IMO.

Replace bushings and shifter and tell us how you feel afterwards man. Stock shifter and bushings ftmfl. Go for the ss and bushings mang! Even find something used in classifieds for cheaper.

Oh, sorry about that. The hardened bushings make shifting much more precise. The SS does improve things drastically, but the bushings really help. And they're relatively inexpensive.

Skidplate.

You can't enjoy shifter bushings in a car that doesn't have coolant or oil in it.

In point fact, you CAN'T spin all 4. Why? Because the car won't power more than 2 spinning wheels at a time. Well, it's more like it'll spin one, barely turn another, and leave 2 perfectly still. Look up how our diffs work.

The TBS also does nothing, as confirmed by several tests.

that is true as far as the diff works. i get the wheel spinning a lot easier. the car feels a lot more pepier. it sounds louder as well.

if u look at the group a website u will see the dyno and there is an increase.

anyway i need some advice on my next mod. please help

The dyno plots are either faked outright or HEAVILY manipulated. In a thread about it sometime last summer or fall, Pat Olsen and I tore them apart, there's nothing about the graphs that are consistent. Baldly put, they're lying.

Given the two mod choices you listed and assuming you have a MAF-based car (from the join date), go with the sways since 1) suspension will make you faster than power will and 2) CAI/SRI causes problems on a MAF-based NA.

It's actually the snorkus delete (wither by itself or as a part of a CAI/SRI) that causes the problem. I promise I will at some point get off my ass and turn all the data I've collected on all the different intake styles I tried into pretty graphs and a coherent write up for you all.

The one I settled on is a hybrid. Stock snorkus, airbox, and MAF housing, 3" pipe around to the TB. It flows only 3% less than a full SRI, yet doesn't totally trash the MAF's ability to work correctly. Best part is it's WAY cheaper than doing a full CAI/SRI and 97% as good.

How do I do it. Has your gas mileage gone down?
Has ur power/torque gone up?
Has the sound changed?

OK, I started with this:

On the left, where you see the blue coupler with the red and black wire running over it, the black plastic tube is the MAF housing. Stock, this is bolted to the airbox. So what I did is to remove the filter from the end of the MAF housing an re-install the stock snorkus and airbox, then bolt the stock MAF housing back to the stock airbox. With some silicone couplers and some creative cutting up of the pipe, I was able to run that silver pipe from the stock MAF housing right to the throttle body.

No data on mileage because other things are screwing with the mileage right now.

Yes, the car is as powerful on he low end (where the engine was previously able to get all the air it needed) and has gained between 10 and 15% more power/torque from 3kRPM to redline.

The intake (which I've taken to calling the Hybrid Silentake because I like giving things silly names) is barely louder than stock, just a little bit growly. Whereas the SRI WAS LOUDER THAN GOD. It was so loud, a 380whp WRX with a straight pipe got on the radio to tell me I as loud as I flew by him at WOT.

so essentially this would be a very similar design to yours . http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/93-05...spagenameZWDVW

No. This is EXACTLY the opposite of what I did:

OK, I'm going to post my picture again so I can point to it as I talk:

Alright, if you look at my picture (the lower one) you can see that the silver pipe replaces the stock black box and stock black ridged tube (top picture). What neither of these pictures show is that I kept the silver pipe where you see it but put the stock airbox BACK IN where the blue cone filter is in the pictures. The stock airbox then connects to the snorkus in the fender.
