Talking My very first mod

A picture is worth a thousand words they say. Just received a set of four 205/55-ZR16 Michelin Pilot Sport tires from the Tire Rack. Can't wait to get these installed on the stock rims. I'm keeping the RE92's for the winter. I wanted to stay stock looking for now, maybe 17's or 18's next year. Of all the brands of tires I have used in 30 years of driving, Michelin and Dunlop are the best, in my opinion. Plus, I get a free set of Motorola walkie-talkies with ni-cad batteries and a smart charger, oh boy!

No, don't know much about the RE92's, but they are M+S (mud and snow) tires. I could order Blizzaks which I had on my previous car. What do you know about the RE92's?

re92 had suck

i think i might run my p1s with p7000 ss during the winter(i disliked the re92s)... but i think the re92s because its a narrow tire so it might help in the snow

oh my sister has blizzaks- good tires

I had a 3000GT VR-4 with all wheel drive with Michelin XGT-Z4's and that car was like a tank in the snow, I even passed SUV's that were stuck. They were all season tires, the Michelin Pilot Aplins are fantastic, plus they are H-rated for those 130 MPH blasts when the roads dry up in the cold weather.

Got the tires mounted Friday morning and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! Feels like the car is connected to the pavement with rails or slots, a huge improvement. Glad I bought the Michelin's!

I bought a set of kumho KW11 studable Snows for my RWD beastie from ILP performance.

that car usually gets parked in snow because it is so bad.

but I had to drive it this winter since my AWD car is being turned into a rally monster. well they are killer, I did not stud them. they are 95% of the blizzak or hakapalita performance, a little less grip on glare ice I guess because they are studable.

and the price was incredable, like 1/3 the cost of the blizzaks.

ILP will stud them for not much extra money, that would be some MAJOR tanklike action.
