Default Throwout bearing issues

I have a 2013 Impreza w/ a 5 speed. I got it brand new and itís been a pretty good car. It now has a little over 72k miles and recently started making a noise when the clutch is pressed. Iíve figured out itís the throwout bearing. Funny enough, the clutch itself still feels as good as it did when I first got it but the noise is there and I donít want to wait for it to go bad completely and leave me stranded somewhere. I did get a warranty with the car, I remember it being 7 years and cannot currently remember the exact mileage but Iíll be calling a dealership tomorrow to find out. My question is if the warranty is still in effect, is it true that the throwout bearing could be replaced under warranty? I donít abuse the clutch, I always put the car in neutral at red lights, and the clutch itself still grabs like it did when I first drove it home.

Did you have any luck getting this covered under warranty even though you are out of the warranty parameters? I also have a '13 WRX and my throwout is screaming. I took it to the dealership to try and get a warranty repair, I only have 24,XXX on the clock, but the original owner bought the car in November 2012. So the dealership said "nope, sorry. gotta pay to play." Now I'm wondering if it would be worth it to contact SOA considering I'm well below warranty mileage and just a few months out from the 5 year mark.

I think the OP bought an extension? OP - was it covered? What coverage did you buy?
