Default Front Mount

Looking at a 2008 WRX Hatch with a Perrin front mount intercooler. The front bumper cover is not attached properly. I'm thinking I would need to buy a new front bumper cover and trim it properly to fit. Are there other options like aftermarket front bumper covers or an STI that would work better? If an STI one would fit properly are there any advantages to using an STI front bumper cover?

Thanks

Why not just make the present bumper attach correctly? Is it simply poorly trimmed, preventing proper attachment of all the points? If you buy another bumper and trim it the same, you're going to get the same result.

And there is no performance or fitting advantage between a wrx and sti bumper. It's just different looks.

I will have to double check but I seem to remember the guy saying the tabs to hold the driver side on are broken and is rigged up somehow. He was the one who told me an STI front would clear the FMIC better. Since I'm still learning about these cars I figured I'd ask here. When I read the instruction on Perrin's site they both (WRX/STI) need trimming to fit so I'm thinking this guy doesn't know what he's talking about. The car has a bunch of mods and I was able to talk to the shop that did the work. Previous owner had the mods done, not this guy. Anyway, body is a little rough but it's one of the lowest price clean title WRX hatchbacks around (I just hate calling them wagons ). If I can get a little lower price I may go with it and put the money needed into fixing up some of the body work.

ok
so what's the mileage and asking price for this modded by the owner before the current owner vehicle with the rough body?

120K 7K - it's an automatic

Maybe I should start a new thread but I also going to ask if there are things I should be looking at on used WRX's?

Don't you dare ask that question... I'm literally pulling out my flame book now. Read the STICKY on this EXACT subject.

Would you mind pointing me to the thread. I've been searching and not finding what you are referring to. Of course the site hasn't been working well for me the past couple of days so I'm not real confident in what I'm seeing right now.
