Just wanted to get into a little more detail how great these guys are. Those who know me, know that I don't kiss ass or ask for any handouts, so that is not the purpose of this. That said, I have been around enough to read people pretty well and this is what I have found. I started going to IAG to pick up parts here and there, and have found that I spend more and more time hanging out and bull****ting with everyone from the staff to customers. There is a great atmosphere in the shop and showroom, everyone seems to enjoy what they do and it's nice to see that they appreciate the customers and business. I think that the staff at IAG are also genuine enthusiasts who can be trusted to do a job right... Thanks again IAG, You guys are a refreshing addition to the Subaru community and I am happy to have met each one of you guys!

Let me preface this with, i rarely take my car to shops because i always have terrible luck with them. Even though i'm not the most mechanically able dude, i usually just bite the bullet and do stuff myself because the past few times ive taken my car to random places, something has always happened.

I just got my Wheels put on at IAG. They sourced some tires for me, mounted and balanced, and while they were at it they installed a catch can that had been laying in my trunk forever and flushed my brake fluid for me. They took their time with the car and did everything right. Everything looks great, their shop was really well put together and was entertaining enough to walk around and look at all the pretty parts while i waited. They even hooked up a loaner so i could leave my car there while they worked on it. Overall, this is my best experience with a shop.

I usually wait until the weather gets nicer to buy all the stuff that i want. I've got a long list, and these guys are getting my business.

For an awesome MAIC vendor.

IAG Performance is the best vendor that I have ever delt with. Check out my rating, I have been around the block .

I posted a wtb thread: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1489252

Within 20 minutes I had a pm from them with a very low shipped price. I made clear that I needed the stuff asap so they sent it 2 day. They had my package in the mail only a few hours after my original wtb post.

I received the parts on time and could not be happier with their responsiveness, speed, packing, and product accuracy. They exceeded my expectations(which are up there).

Thanks guys!

Thank you for the feedback. I guess this may sound strange, but I want to try and get this point across: The above experiance is the norm at IAG. We treated your transaction just like every other. We care very much about our reputation and even more about our customers. I am glad that we exceeded your expectations. Give us a shout when you are ready to be blown away again.

JJ

Another quick story from me. I've been in touch with JJ about the progress of my car (a leaking fuel injector eventually got the best of me), and when the fecal matter hit the proverbial spinning object, JJ stepped up and offered his help, even over a long distance. Also, in the midst of it all, I talked to someone else at IAG (sorry, I dont remember your name), and where I felt stuck, I was given very helpful advice on how to approach my situation. Basically, I stripped the threads out of a hole for one of the bolts used to hold down the fuel rail on the passengers side, and I had no idea where to go from there. I was told that not having that bolt is fine for now, and to fix it with a helicoil when I get the chance. On top of that, JJ offered to send me some O-rings and buffers, and when I told him I needed them ASAP, he didn't hesitate to overnight them to me.

Thanks again to IAG, my car should be up and running in full order by Wednesday, and I wont lose my job! You guys are lifesavers!

I got on it in 3rd gear and halfway through the pull it felt like it hit fuel cut. Then it happened again in forth so im not sure.......I think I'm going to get an accessport like you suggested I think this is ecu related because everything else seemed fine.. I'll pick one up from you guys in about 2 weeks or so.

Another satisified IAG customer here. They did my 60k mile service and installed SS brake lines a couple weeks ago. Price was very reasonable, staff was great and very knowledgeable, and the showroom is just a nice place to sit.
Even got to help them break in their new PS3 Gran Turismo 5 driving rig. Didn't quite earn enough to buy an STI in career mode though.

IAG is 2.5 hours away from me but definitely worth the drive IMO.

Bought some STRI gauges from these guys as well as a few gaskets to do my header install, well the EGT gauge i needed was out of stock, they let me know this and i told them it was fine i dont mind waiting. I just checked up every week to see if they got the gauge in and they always had a prompt response.

Of course as time went on (these gauges are imported from japan so i expected a long wait anyway) I realized i needed a few more gaskets and up-pipe studs. I contacted them and they said they had them and they will let me know how much more it will be and put them with the gauge when it comes.

Well one day a week or two later i get an email saying my order had shipped so I figured maybe they had forgotten the other things and i contacted them. Well when i got the response it turned out that they did not forget, they just gave me the items as an apology for the wait. I did not expect that at all and was very surprised and impressed with their customer service. Finally got the gauge today and everything else that i had asked for was included as well (not much, but still a great thing for them to do).

They will definately be getting more of my buisiness in the future as my project continues to progress. Thanks again guys, i might stop down and see your showroom one of these days.

Thank you sir, for being patient. I am glad we were able to make you happy. It is very rare that we do not have a product in stock or run out of something and I am glad that you were understanding about it.

Thanks Again,

Yeah these guys are awesome. Just stopped by the shop a few days ago, everyone I met was all very nice. There showroom is spotless too. They have tons of parts in stock. I wish there was a shop like this closer to where I live in Connecticut. I would recommend these guys for sure.

Smile 2.5 hybrid swap

For those who don't like to read alot I'll sart with my condensed opinion of IAG. I am a cheap bastard and I believe most auto shops are crooks. That said, I just spent a big pile of money (For me to spend) on a 2.5 hybrid swap at IAG for my '02 WRX wagon and after driving the car for a week and 500 miles-- I am very satisfied. IAG gave me an EXTREME amount of value for my money. JJ, Rick, Drew-- all very knowledgeable and pleasant. Fred-- did most of the work on my car and every thing was top notch. I can't say enough about these guys.

The rest of the story.

About two months ago I spun a bearing in my 2.0l. I started investigating doing a hybrid swap after John at Heritage Subaru recommended it as alternative to another 2.0l. I lurked around the message boards, posted a few questions and from those question came a PM from Rick at IAG. A quick message letting me know that IAG was local to me and that they were available for any assistance-- to give advice, answer question to do some work or anything else I needed. I had seen IAG's sign and driven by thier location countless time but had never given them a thought because of a bad experience I had had with the previous shop at their location. After a few days from when Rick PM'ed I was realizing that I may be getting in over my head with the hybrid build/swap thing so started searching the forums to see what others on NASIOC had to say about IAG. It was all good. So I called Rick up, introduced myself, we talked for a few minutes and then he referred me to JJ. JJ had all the answers to my questions at the ready-- no hype, no BS just clear concise answers and reasons why.

After another couple phone conversations, me contacting a few referrals of other 2.5 hybrids IAG had done and me getting over the sticker shock I called them to schedule the work. IAG sent a truck down, picked up my car and process started. All went very smooth, it took about three verrrry long weeks (I was eager to get the car back, like a kid on Christmas eve-- but JJ did warn me up front "No one will ever accuse us of being fast.") but I did get my car back-- better than new. With a new EJ257 short block, a VF39 turbo, new injectors, uppipe, clutch, timing belt, whole oil system, turbo back exhaust, remapped ecu and it was washed. So far so good, it drives great. Boost comes on early, there is no lag and the motor pulls strong from below 2k. I have not been able to fully get on it yet but soon....

I'll post some up dates as I get past break in.

Steve

I was very pleased with IAG's service today which consisted of installing an up-pipe and TBE, along with a heat shield. Finally, I'm at stage 2!

Thanks to Rick, Drew and the rest of the crew (wow, I can rhyme).

Thanks Ben. The car looks awesome with those wheels. I have to be honest in saying, I didn't think the wheels were going to look good on your color car, but they turned out awesome. Thanks again for the kind words.
