Haven't posted in awhile, but I have been working on the car! Got the front sti pink struts with whiteline com c top hats installed, front whiteline endlinks & bushings. I am learning that being an adult with hardly any free time, its harder to work on my car myself. I managed to get one side of the rear endlinks done.

Also, picked up a wingless (not true) trunk $60, that I will be re finishing.

Hopefully, I will be able to get the rear stuff done before the kancamagus cruise next month.

Winter wheels. Motegi mr118 17x8 I have sourced some 245/40 tires. The guy also failed to mention that one of the wheels were halfway finished. ***128529; until he showed up with them. So I bought em anyway. They don't need to be pretty.

Finished installing all my struts, and endlinks. Broke one of the welded nuts on the swaybar mount from rust, so im not going to touch the swaybars for now.. ***128532;

Also, picked up some 245/40/17 continentals for $100, going to try and stuff these in there.

She also got a good bath.

Test fit day!

Went to Town Fair Tire to have the tires mounted.

Ater a couple of hours of peeling the plastidip off.. ***128545; I got all hyped up to fit the wheels, to find out my stock subaru fat af lugs won't fit. ***128551;

Grabbed a set of new, locking, tuner lugs and they look great! No pulling or rolling of the fenders needed. (Contrary to popular belief.)

Did some big wing things today. #poser

Long story short, I bought a duplicolor pen to try and touch up my wingless trunk. Sad part was, that the paint brush part was broken causing the bristles to be uneven. It was hard to paint in a straight line like this. I f'd up pretty good. (You live and you learn. &#128514 nonetheless, this sti wing/trunk combo came up for a good deal, so I bought it. I do appreciate the wingless look, and I may even go back to it, but for now, sti wang gang.

So I have been scanning a lot of oil information lately, since its come time to change it. When I first bought the car, there was no oil in it. So I looked thru the records the previous owner had in the glove box. (Looked like he had run different kinds of 5w30, never really settling with one.) I changed the oil with standard 5w30. For the sake of getting something in there.

A couple thousand miles later, I checked the oil before a trip to MA, and noticed it was dry again. I threw some syn 10w30 I had. After searching oil threads and reading UOA, I settled on mobil1 10w30 . It seems to not disappear as fast as the 5w30, its thicker so it won't burn as fast. Also autox guys were saying they run it in their cars too. (Something im considering trying out.)

2,000 on the 10w30 and no issues yet.

Be careful with the oil running dry, it can happen even within the last ~100 mi of your interval. When my Bugeye had it's stock ej205 in it, it would lose oil but really tended to do it all at once toward the end of my 3k mile interval. Just $0.02

Cruised the kancamagus highway yesterday with 'mainely subarus'

Perfect day to just get away, and not think about anything but driving.

I did my fair share of hard cornering and pulls tho. ***128514; those are some fun roads!

Got a little over 300 miles in yesterday between driving to a from the meet up spot, and around the mountain of course. The 2nd best Ive gotten out of a tank since I bought it. (358 off citgo 93)

I checked my oil on the last leg of the cruise. It was around the low mark, unfortunately. Around 2k into my last oil change. Not sure if it was just the hard driving or what. She eats oil, she's a subaru. Time to think about the future of the car at this point
.
