Default I graduate in 2 weeks. what should I do?

OK. here's the deal. I graduate in 2 weeks with my B.S. in Criminal Justice Studies and a minor in Sociology. I don;t really want to do anything related to my field (Although I thought I did until 1 semester ago of course). Anyway, I'm pretty good with computers (my girlfriend is trying to get me to go into that field) and love working on cars.

Like most know, I work at a Corvette, Viper, and Camaro race shop. We've worked on Bonneville salt flat, high speed road race (legal), SCCA, NASA, Speed Vision GT, and many other cars. I don;t like my boss and will hopefully open up my own shop in the next year or so. Like I posted in the OT forum a while back, I am writting a business plan/proposal.

Does anyone have any ideas for what I should do when I graduate until I get somethign started? I'm making less than $2,000 at the place I work now and once I graduate (and the parental "allowence" runs out once I graduate), I will have to fend for myself. Anyone work for a company that is hiring right now? I am not a master at any program but can learn pretty much any computer program pretty quickly and can kick ass on a mill and a lathe (I worked in the R&D department of a major bio-medical company working with tolerances on various metals of less than 1/2-a-thousands because some things were medical implants.) That was probably my favorite job but unfortunatly it was an internship in Indiana.

Anyway, any info is appreciated! Thanks.

Eric

Question

Why don't you want to follow your major? I'll bet the CIA and FBI are hiring right now. You should try to leverage off of your degree some how. You could probably become a management weenie most anywhere. Those jobs pay well and you don't have to do any of the real work.

Army Criminal Investigations Division or Air Force Office of Special Investigations Agent.

Since you are good with computers there are divisions in both these agencies have divisions that specialize in computer crime. In fact, most federal law enforcement agencies have divisions that specialize in computer and finance systems crimes that require technical skills and aptitude.

Well if you want to go into computers try checking out Devry. I know they run daytime adds which pulls a couple rednecks out of their trailers but It's a nice school and they teach you need and want (in my case) to learn. If you're parents will pay for it, thats a couple more years of partying.
