Default Is this a situation where my rear LSD should have been noticeable?

Recently in rained here in LA and so I decided to take a 180-degree turn faster than normal, just to see how the AWD and rear LSD I had installed would work. The wagon started to slide sideways at about the 75% point--when I was about 3/4 into the turn on the slickened pavement.

Do you think that means my LSD worked because it only skidded at the end? Or that it didn't work very well (I got it from a Subaru used-parts retailer and I suppose they could have sent me a regular unit!), or none of the above and I need to be sent back to my room for more crack?

Was the skid throttle based?
