Advan RS-D's. It is pretty popular but for a good reason, they look awesome. They are in my future.

whoa whoa whoa i never said anything about slammed, i personally dont like that. i said lower it a bit to get rid of that stock ride height.

They look OK. Not really a fan of the "spider leg" look for rims. I like the Rota Gravels (very OEM looking) and the Grids (but only the concave 9.5" wide ones).

I do think it would look a better a little lower, but I'm positive I'd regret it once winter rolls around again. Might stiffen up the handling a little someday, but I doubt I'll go lower.

If I were in Cali or Florida I'd probably go low, but it's not worth it for a daily driver in MN.

just get coils and raise them in the winter...just don't tell NASIOC you dont get an alignment every time..lol

actually I feel sort of the same, I don't want to slam my car, but it could stand to be a bit lower when it isn't snowing

thats funny, they auto correct n a z i o c...lol

I totally agree with you regarding lowering the vehicle. Our ride height means that we dont have to worry about raising or lowering coils, worrying about bottoming out on steep driveways or speed bumps, etc. I would love to lower my vehicle a little too, but instead, i'll probably upgrade sway bars to increase handling and get slightly larger and wider wheels from tirerack. kudos to our daily drivers!

RCE yellows/bilsteins only lower the car something like .8", I'd go with those if I had the $$$. That said, the 2011s look pretty good stock since they don't have the Subaru-style negative rake like all the older WRXs. If I did the shocks/springs or coils I would get front and rear sways, but if you're staying stock just throw in the STi bars (or rear one only), they're cheaper and mild enough to use stock endlinks.

Yeah, that would be OK with me too, but I'd be worried about the coilovers getting stuck and/or being a PITA to adjust after a few winters...

I already have to go into my driveway at a 45 degree angle, but I wouldn't mind sways and endlinks to firm things up a bit.

For my use, I am considering sways and endlinks, but I don't even know if that's worth it for me. Right now I'm still pretty happy with the stock ride.

true, winter tends to destroy coilovers

I don't know man, i am pretty happy with my Sways and Endlinks. If you do it make sure to get the WhiteLine Sways + RalliTek or COBB Endlinks. I really like the RalliTek HDs I picked up.

Hey are you coming out tonight?

The Advan RS-D, SSR Type F, and Rota Tarmac look pretty similar to me. I don't really mind any of them, but I'm not in love with any of them either. The photo of the SSR Type F on the STI looks very good though.

Xluben, great work on the thread and the WRX. The detial of your build and the pics are amazing.
With all do respect I don't intend to steel your thunder but I have a similar build. The only thing I'm doing now is trying to see if E85 feasible is in NYC with limited E85 locations.

He is talking about the thread jacker... the guy who thought that you might want to know what his car is like (in your build thread).

I think it is really funny that he didn't actually say anything about his car besides that he is thinking about feeding it corn, then slapped on a picture of his car.

Hey I could just look but instead I will ask, you did bushings with your mode shifter right? Did you do the TIC package?

I have talked to him via PM before.

I only have the Kartboy front and rear bushings. I don't have the other ones that TIC offers.
