That is an abomination to the real deal. I would take a stock 77 trans am any day over this tarted up hot wheels reject. |

Doesn't look right. I have no issue with making a new camaro look like a trans am. But the new camaro is retro styled to look like the 67-69. So trying to make this look like a 70-81 is all wrong. The proportions are all off.

This is what happens when garage shops try to do retro, they just replicate the vintage design.
The factory Camaro was done by professional designers and take cues from the era but is modern, not just copying it. These look cheap. I want to see GM do a retro Trans Am. |

I already can't stand the look of the new Camaro, and I was always a longtime GM fan, this just makes me want to puke even faster. They lost me as a customer after the last GTO (and that was a Australian GM-Holden design) left their lots, there isn't anything they make other than the Z06 that even comes up on my radar. I hate the direction they are going with design, and the backend of the new Corvette isn't helping their case.

The only way to do a second generation Trans Am would be to style it after the second generation Trans Am from the ground up; not take a modern Camaro that was designed after the first generation Camaro and transform it into a second generation Trans Am. That's how you end up with derp like that.
On a side note, I love how cheap the 2001-2002 Trans Am/Camaro is now; they're such a bargain. LS1/<3,500lbs/t-tops/19 mpg city & 26 mpg highway. Got me thinking about getting one now. |

Hey man, I think T-tops are way cool man.
If I were to get back into the 70-81 F bodies, I would totally rock some T-tops And grow a serious stand alone Mustache |

I had T-Tops in my 1980 Vette, all they did is create a tornado inside the car, quite useless.

Things have come a long way since 1980 in convertible, sunroof, and t-top technology, and aerodynamic management.

I'm rather taken by the term "T-top technology."
