Default 14 WRX Exhaust Pop during hard shift

Hey guys, I noticed my car was getting an after fire pop from exhaust during hard shifts around the 5K rpm range with stock bpv. I loved it

I recently switched to a turbosmart kompact 100% recirculate bpv. It sounds like it's function perfectly, but now I get the afterfire pops during shifts around 3K rpm, even if they're not that hard of a shift. They're super loud like fire crackers being dropped behind the car! Is this anything to worry about? It goes away if I put the stock bpv back on.

2014 WRX modded: Cobb Intake, Invidia Q300 Catback, Invidia Catless DP, Grimspeed 3 port, stock intercooler, stock bpv/turbosmart kompact bpv, bren tuning protune.

This is 100% normal when running aftermarket BPV's.
Going cat less only makes even more pronounced and louder.
If you are running super rich, you may see some slight flame bursts.

Afterfire gets you chicks!!!

If you need a car to get chicks, you're doing it wrong.

You have the exact list of mods my buddy does on his '11 STI. His car afterfires after each shift when he's on it too. Nothing to worry about. I have the same list of mods as well, except my downpipe is catted, so my car doesn't afterfire nearly as often.

Yup! That's what my 02 sounded like...
When I did the turbo upgrade and fuel upgrades, my car shot flames.
It used to scare the crap out of people on the freeway.
