Type RA Ultrasuede steering wheel care
I have the JDM S207 Ultrasuede steering wheel, same as the RA but with different stitching, and it is showing some wear. I’ve had it for about 10 months. Is there a way to treat the material and restore it to its original soft, fluffy state?

Try lightly heating it with a steamer and use a soft bristled toothbrush to fluff it back up.

Simple steps first, using a mild all purpose cleaner (diluted) sprayed on a microfiber, gently roll/rub the towel around the areas that seem to show wear. The microfiber will help pull the dirt off of the fabric. It's amazing how much hand grease and body oil we transfer to steering wheels. A vehicle primarily driven by a lady, because ladies on average use more lotions than guys, can get pretty disgusting in six months time. Same goes for the "most used" buttons and knobs on your radio, a/c controls, nav screen, ***8230;
Catching it early is the key. Once it builds up your job will be much tougher. Steam, as mentioned above, can work to loosen the gunk that has accumulated. Just be careful to use in small doses. |

I have one of the Prova steering wheels for a few years now. I just use the Sonax Upholstery & Alcantara Cleaner with a micro fiber cloth. Cleans it up pretty well and mostly restores it. After a few weeks of driving it is back to what you see in your pictures though. Hard to keep the oils from your hands from doing that.

I have the same wheel, I use Dr.Beasley suede/alcanatara cleaner. Mist it on, brush the wheel with a small Kiwi brush and then once more with a clean microfiber. Like mentioned, it fluffs up for a few weeks and goes back. I have most problems due to heat and sitting in the sun at work so I started cover the wheel and using a sun screen visor thing on the windshield
