Default Another Tein coilover owner please read

This past weekend when I changed back to summer tire, I discovered one of the lock ring which is there to lock the lower spring seat was cracked. Upon further examination, the ring broke leaving a gap of about 1/8 inch. I guess the salt, together with the potholes, took the life of the ring after 2.5 years of usage.

Although the ring doesn't fall out, I am wondering its ability to lock the spring seat in position; and also, would it be safe to keep driving the car until a replacement can be made?

For those who have contacted Tein USA before, how long did you wait before receiving a reply? I emailed them 2 days ago.

you should be fine for driving short trips until u get a replacement. The only thing that might happend is the is that the other ring might start rotating downwards affecting alignment. TEIN usually replies in 2 days.

dont go to autox without the lower sheet lock. not only does
it lock the upper sheet lock, it is reinforcement.

TEIN USA's pretty slow on their responses because they
only have like 10 people at their USoffice (so i heard).
