Rodgers looked old, slow and rusty. Niners looked dominant. Pretty much as expected.

I'm sure they didn't want to risk him getting hurt in a game that was out of reach.

That, or he had a previously planned trip to Peru that he didn't realize overlapped with the 4th quarter.

He's got dark tinted windows. Doesn't matter if they know who he is or not. Rolling your window all the way up during a stop where they can't see what what you're is going to set any cop on edge.

It's not long but cliff notes and I'm trying to be as objective as possible, Hill acted like a dick, the cop gives him an order to keep his window rolled down, Hill cracks it open slightly, the cop then orders him out, Hill takes 5 seconds to open the door and the officer reaches in the pull Hill out of the car with 4 other officers helping to pull him out and secure him to the floor.

****ing wild!

My wife was opining that pulling him over that close to the stadium, they had to have known who he was. After watching the video, I'm not sure they did.

In my opinion, this does zero to combat the perception that cops are just power hungry ******** but what it really does is show how cops sometime do absolutely zero to de-escalate the situation and instead go from zero to 150 as a first recourse.

Last incident I wasn't even moving. I was parked, car off, about to leave my friends house when a cop pulled up next to me demanding to see some ID. I got pissed and told him to **** off, he got pissed and got out of the car to come kick my ass until he saw the military plates and my uniform in the backseat. Dude was like, "You military?" I responded, "Yes but I don't see how that's relevant." He then tried to befriend me by saying he was a Marine but when he spouted off his rank, I reminded him that I out-ranked him and asked whether his NCO would have approved of the way he began this interaction.

He ended up letting me go without running anything. I know full well its easier to just comply but he had zero reason for stopping me and his immediate tone caused me to come back with a similar tone. Also, I know my own privilege as I'm fully aware I have the privledge of have a completely clean record, having a Clearance and having just gotten back from deployment had **** gone sideways and it would have needed to go to court.

Not everyone stopped/hassled has that liberty nor has the resources to fight ****ty cops acting ****ty.

Let's just be real here. Everyone was at fault.

1 - Hill did something to get pulled over.
2 - Hill acted like a dick - "don't touch my window" and did nothing to de-escalate the situation.
3 - Hill rolled up his dark tinted window and didn't comply to the request to lower it. Quick googling says it is Florida law to roll down the window but I didn't go deeper than a quick search.
4 - The officer who first approached was an *******. You can hear the emotion and adrenaline in his voice as he begins the interaction. You can feel him go from hyped to seeing red angry in about 0.3 seconds after Hill not immediately following his requests.
5 - The officers did nothing to de-escalate the situation. Giving 1 second to comply before ramping up to the next level.
6 - Once they had cooled down and realized **** had gone sideways, they tried enforcing discipline on others by detaining them.

Certainly, the police could have handled it better but if they come out of this with all the rage and no one holds Hill accountable then we are all worse off. Luckily no one drew weapons or ramped it up further.

Game was pretty much out of reach and I'm sure Saleh was just happy Rodgers made it thru one game without injury.

Although I do find it odd Hall was out there for at least the first couple of plays for that final drive.

I really dont want to make this a PP thread but I have to call out this "Blah blah, both sides" bull****.

Only one of those two parties has a moral responsibility to Serve and Protect the public and is actually paid for and 100% funded by our actual money. They are also led and managed by people you and I vote for so they work for us, not the other way around.

What the **** ever happened to being held to a higher standard ans being a good steward of the public's funds and trust?

It's a two way street. Cops aren't obligated to bend over and take it from you when you want to be a total uncompliant Karen. And there's really no quicker way to piss off a cop than to start in with this, "I pay your salary, you work for me, I don't have to do what you say", nonsense.

Like most things in life, things usually go much better for you if you treat others the way you would like to be treated. If you immediately start in with an attitude the way Tyreek did, well, don't be surprised when it's reciprocated.

Aaaaaaaaaaaand you hit it on the head of why this is always ****ed up regardless if the citizen was being uncooperative; the citizen is always, ALWAYS at a disadvantaged position of power. The citizen can only complain, verbally state the rights they have by law and then seek grievance resolution after the fact via the legal system...which costs a **** ton of money. The officer has the entire system on their side, they have the Police federations on their side, they have most of the PR on their side, they have legal precedence on their side and have qualified immunity.

They have all the power here. They don't have a legal requirement to be bigger than this, they don't have a regulatory requirement to not be dicks, they don't have a policy requirement to try and de-escalate and avoid altercations, but why not? Also, why do you accept that as the reality? We, as a society don't accept that in any other part of our society from teachers, to public leaders, to military officials carrying hyper lethal weapons.

So again, this both sides argument is complete bull****.

I guess we're going PP in here

That bolded seams to be a one way street. I mean Christ, look at the police presence for a simple traffic stop.

Sorry man, only 1 of those parties were paid "professionals" in that environment and it wasn't Tyreek. Cashiers at McDonalds get more sass and you don't see them wrecking peoples lives over it.

I've said here, that's a totally different scenario if Cooper Kupp gets pulled over for doing 1xxmph outside SoFi but I bet the officers still go "extracurricular" on him too if he runs his mouth and rolls up his window.

The cops, at least a couple of them, are absolutely ******** that are pissed that a black man was driving a six figure car.

Hill was absolutely an entitled ******* that didn't help the situation.

Both sides is bull**** Furious, you know this. Otherwise Tiny Montana wouldn't have been put on admin leave..

This is why police get away with this BS on the common man. People rationalize their unprofessionalism. McDonald's cashiers handle it better.

*shrug*

I've had several interactions with the police and only one where I was put in cuffs, and it was because I engaged my mouth before my brain. There are for sure ******* cops, and one sure fire way to bring it out of them is by doing exactly what I did in Myrtle Beach in 2001 and what Tyreek Hill did yesterday.

If the same situation happen to "Tyreek Hall", officer ******* isn't put on leave because none of us would've ever heard about it. Officer ******* is now on leave because it's national news.

It's science

Supposedly, the officer that was put on leave has Bills stuff on his socials. Now that's a conspiracy I can get behind!

I mean, the Mafia has always had cops on the payroll
