Are they going to sack the safety car driver? He walled it during pre practice. Never seen that before.
The crash was so bad they had to get a new one.

Or use an actual capable Aston. The AMG safety car was so much better.

Looks like McLaren is picking up where Red Bull left off. But, could be a good fight among MCL, MB, FER, and RB (unless Ferrari "strategy" becomes a factor). Let's see if the Williams and Haas can convert their qualification results into points tomorrow.

Redbull got squashed in qualifying.
This could be a devastating blow to them in WDC and WCC.

Guess Ferrari "strategy" was a factor in the race - except it was McLaren that executed it. Congrats to Leclerc and Ferrari, wish Sainz could have held on to P2. Hope the rest of the season sees the fight(s) for WDC and WCC get closer. And Williams and Haas did earn some points which is good.
Will Bearman get the call again from Haas for the next race?

See if Ferrari can win the WEC race in COTA today...

Yup, not looking good. Perhaps I was their lucky charm and should have stayed there

Looks like Newey going to Aston Martian-Honda.
Ferrari is out. Didn't want to get in a bidding war.

I saw this coming from the beginning, once the rumors came out that he was leaving RB. He had already worked with AM with the Valkyrie. Then Fernando made some leading comments when he signed his contract, suggesting to me that this was already a done deal.

I wonder if Newey is still top of the game. McLaren have shown some pace that nobody can compete with right now. The RB20 is faster than the RB19, but still not quite cutting it.
