Default Do they make KYB/AGX for '01 RS Sedan

Wanted to lower my car and heard that the KYb/AGX's were cool. But i also heard that they don't make them for the 01's RS yet? Can someone help along with recommended springs? My goal is to lower my car to make it look nicer. Performance and handling would be great also.

Although I have never actually owned the AGX's I have heard that if you lower the car more than one inch, and you have spring rates higher than 300lbs, the AGX's blow their seals. So most people have gone with a different shocks, like the Koni's. But don't quote me on this. I am only going with what I have heard. I have actaully talked to 2 people who have blown the AGX, but its cause they were running too high of a spring rate, and they lowered the car too far. If you stay within the limits of the shock you will probably not have any problems.
Hope this helps a little

Plenty of people have the KYB-AGXs . I have heard a few things about people blowing them up, though, but I've always thought that they were one tough strut.

Default Thanks everyone........

In this case, are Koni's better than the KYB/AGX? I just want to lower my car so that it will make a difference in appearance. Not planning to butterfly my car and see have the wheel. Just enough so that it covers the gap in between the car and the tires. Please help anybody!!!!!!!!!! I am going to do it soon. And if you have pics, please post or email to Vince

I have the Tein springs (soft) with KYB/AGX on my '99RS. Although I don't care for the Tein's (to darned low) I do like the KYB's. Easily adjustable unless you car is as low as mine then the back knobs are hard to get at.

A 3front/6rear combo seems to really help in the corners and soak up the bumps better but it increases the amount you can feel from the road undulations. I normally run a 2/4 or 2/5 for daily driving. Only the largest bumps will cause an almost bottom out. I run a 1/3 during the winter.

If I had to do it all over again I would have gone Eibach or H&R or what I am doing now; saving for DMS Golds.

if you want a good suspension set up, which lowers the car nicely...

go with the Bilstein Prodrive setup. Fishguy has it, and it's just plain awesome. Great looking and great handling.

I'm running KYB-AGX and 1.5" drop, all is good. look good feels even better. shocks 390.00$ shipped from Cox auto on the Group Buy center. no pics but no gap in the rear and 1/2" front get STI mounts to Primitive has a good deal on them. 1.5" drop is the max before KYB will void your warranty, and no coller type springs i/e ground control

Eibach Pro springs and KYB AGX seem to be one of the best setups...as I was told. Pro springs don't lower the car too much. I've had them for 2 months, they seem pretty fine, although the springs on the left side has been worn a bit more than the right, which is probably because I hardly use my brakes on right hand turns...
