Default 2.2L gauge question

Alright, i know this topic has been beaten to death, and i already did a search on it, but to no avail...I am installing an Autometer Air/Fuel Ratio gauge on my 01' 2.2L. I followed the instructions on Scoobymods.com, and ravensblade.com, HOWEVER, that is for a 2.5 RS....My question is, are the ECU pinouts the same? will it still be B136, wire #18? If not, anyone know what pinout it is for the "L"? or where i can find the proper info? My ECU appears to be set up the same as the one i have seen in the pics on both of the aforementioned sites, but i want to be sure before i go messing with random wires on the ECU...Any and all information is greatly appreciated...Thanks!!!

Thumbs up

Mark,

There are a couple of differences in the ECU wiring between the 2.2L and 2.5L. I know for my '00, the Rear O2 Sensor - Signal, is in fact the same as the 2.5L - B136 #18. I don't think there were any changes between '00 and '01, but no guarantees. Others who have more accurate info please chime in...

I suggest going to your closest, friendliest dealer and try to get a photocopy of the pinout diagrams for your year (it's in the Diagnostics book).

Best of luck.

Ron

I don't know if the ECUs are the same on the 97s as they are on the 01s, but you can compare connectors witht the diagrams on http://wac.addr.com/auto/obs/ecu1.gif

When I hooked an A/F gauge on a 1990 Legacy with no pinouts I just used a digital multimeter and a long peice of wire. Hooked one end to the white wire on the front O2 sensor and checked the few white wires on ECU connector until I found one without infinite resistance. Only took 10 min and I knew I had the right wire for sure.
