![]() I have an AP, I took all my mods off and it's currently running COBB stg1+SF, I just logged it and apparently it barely hit 7psi @5000rpm
I'm gonna take it off tomorrow morning and get some T-bolts while I'm at it. I am very positive that I secure all the hoses down properly with the provided clamps.

![]() The provided clamps suck. No shops around here will tune if you don't have tbolts on boost tubes

![]() My 2" doesn't even fit around the tube, luckily I ordered the whole set w extras. I noticed there are different sizes within the diameter too. That would explain y others are having problems fitting it

![]() Thank you for this guide! I'm definitely saving this in case I decide to go beyond the Cobb stage 2 tune.

![]() I used the stock clamp on the throttle flange because the flange itself have very little clearance and it has indentation for the width of the clamp. The rest I went with Tbolt. I'm a little worried about the throttle body because it was hard to get the tbolt to sit and face the opening. We'll c after my tune tomorrow.
Edit: wasn't happy with the throttle body tbolt because as it tightens it kinda turns and it got hard to tighten. Since that's the most problematic area I decided to take it all apart and did it with the provided clamp. I was able to get it a lot more tighter wasn't banging on the metal fuel lines and possibly damaging it. I also got lazy and didn't want to remove the supporting bracket so I just removed the bottom.bolt under the IC. It was PAIN IN THR ARSE to get it on. I got it in 1/4 of the way then realized it wasn't right. End up taking the bracket out to do it right, I almost stripped it but I was able to push it thru the top thread and screw it back in.. I hope my experience can help others because Ive taken it on and off about 4 times now, and it still gives me trouble lol :/ Last edited by Myth21; 04-10-2013 at 02:17 AM. |

![]() does anyone know of a store or site where they sell the splitter seperately. i am hesitant to call RSD and ask if they would sell me one seperately cause they do for the other years but not the 08+ and not sure if there is anyone else that sells it and forsure not in the for sale section but i'm hoping someone can help me with this. :/

![]() PW doesn't sell it sep., nor does anyone else for the 08+, I just tried. I have a PW core, and had to buy the rest of the kit from FMS. I ended up not even using the FMS splitter because when the hood shut it was putting a good deal of pressure on the IC. Luckily if you take the splitter out, the scoop's dimensions are basically that of the PW. I'm sure the PW splitter is more ideal, but it's still doing the job and is cold to the touch w/out one.

![]() which is total BS cause RSD has the older models in stock and i dont get why PW just sells the HS seperately if they are going to sell the new gens with it.
the thing about not having the splitter is that it doesn't get air directly onto the TMIC but throughout the car. i wish i could see if a shop or some vendor is willing to make one but who knows. STI PW TMIC are always floating around but most STI's that i know of go FMIC but not many WRX PW float around, and a lot of those STI PW TMIC that float around usually dont have a hood splitter and its tough to find one. |

![]() this is exactly why I passed on the few used PW intercoolers I found for 08+wrx and bought new. They'd be missing one key part and I had heard you can't buy them alone!
Rubbish. |

![]() RSD sells the couplers and the gasket last time i checked. They just dont sell the splitter.
PW TMIC always float around but they never come with everything always something missing and the splitter is an important piece i dont get while seller's dont include it. it'd be pointless to sell it then and your left with a paperweight. i bought it without a splitter cause seller didn't have it but i'm not trying to go 350+ just 300+ so i should be fine for where i'm at and just my stock hood scoop |

![]() I would say the support that the bracket provides on the passenger side is necessary. Otherwise the only thing holding it up is the hoses

![]() ok so i'm looking at my friends picture.
the gasket on the right side looks like it can hold it up but the other side is jsut the hose holding it up i'll see if i can find something that will hold it up or together whichever works. i honestly think its just aesthetics. |

![]() It's super easy to install if you have any mechanical background whatsoever and if u have taken off/put on the stock IC before, I think this is easier personally. I'll tyr to post some pics later tonight of mine, and yes I used the gasket for the BPV, the stock gasket, if not you will have a boost leak and be gettin all kinds of misfires.

![]() okay, I installed the Process West TMIC yesterday. The install went pretty smooth with only a couple hiccups.
The kit comes with new hoses and worm clamps. Well today, I drove the car to the office. Everything seemed fine, I was driving easy (shifting at 3k rpm). Once I was on route 28 and was in 5th gear, I decided to test the car out. I put the fun pedal on the floor to see how the car was handling. Once I hit about 3500 rpm - 4000 rpm, the car sounded like it was having fuel cut out issues and the car would stop continuing to accelerate. I believe I have a boost leak issue. I think it is caused by the hose running from the intercooler output to the throttle body. I havent had a chance to look at the worm clamp to see if it slipped off. I am looking at ordering some t-clamps to replace all 4 clamps on the intercooler piping. Anyone else have this issue? |

![]() The day following my PW install, the TB hose clamp slipped and was no longer holding the hose on. It was a bit scary when it happened.
So I pulled the IC and all hoses/clamps off. Starting with the IC to TB hose, I made sure there was a clear area at the TB connection point (moved some of lines out of the way just above the TB connection). I applied some hair spray to the hose, and worked until I was confident that the TB clamp was 100% secure. Once that was done, I reinstalled the PW finishing with hose & clamps at the turbo inlet side. No issues since. |
