The parks are still open I took a drive to Croton dam park today. Plenty of people out. Just not too close to each other. A lot of people never got out of their cars. I don't think you could get in trouble just driving around.

Just wondering if there's been any talk about trying to make a socially distanced drive happen in May?

I think a drive in May would be nice.
May 17th looks good.
Week before memorial day weekend.

I'm planning to make a triumphant return, but I'm split on which car to take.

'98 2.5RS (stock) or '18 CT6 TT (stock)

Great drive yesterday.

Getting messages requesting a Saturday drive.
You've been answered, next month's drive will be Saturday June 27th.
Let's get a huge turn out on this one.

I'm having trans problems unfortunately. But have a 6 speed on the way and also doing a brake swap. The never ending project phase.

This has ended up going a lot further than expected. Started pulling stuff apart and found a rather large rust hole in the rear driver side strut tower. So I retired that chassis and ended up finding a really clean 9-2x in Long Island. Pretty much rust free. Has a couple burnt exhaust valves, so I got it cheap. Gonna swap everything into it this week. Only issue is it's an auto. So swapping to manual. Sounds like it's going to test my wiring skills.

All said and done I'll have the following:
JDM 205 w/AVCS
VF34
STi dark blue injectors
05 STi 6 speed w/R180 Suretrack rear diff
PST cabin driveshaft
Brembo front calipers/FHI 2pot rears
Stainless brake lines
Rota Titan wheels (hoping they clear the calipers) w/Nitto 555 gen2 tires
Cygnus X-1 Long travel coilovers with 7k/6k spring rates
22mm front/24mm rear sways
F/R strut towers braces
MSI trailing arms
Super Pro aluminum control arms
Whiteline adj lateral links
And every driveline bushing I can get from TiC and/or Kartboy, and Group-N

Most of this I already had in the previous car and am just swapping it over. The brakes and trans are the most recent additions.

Car came with the engine so I'm thinking about selling the heads and building the short block as a 2.1 stroker. Hoping to go either GTX 2867R or Dom 1.5 toward the end of the summer.

Previous owner had the heads refreshed but never got them assembled.

Hope to be done well before then. I like them a little better than the GD WRXs. I was hoping to find a GC but everyone wants too much for them so back to the Saabaru I went. Plus this chassis is really clean luckily. Very very little rust.

I'm also in Parsippany! We can meet and cruise there. I will also not have a Subaru this time.

So 6/27 is a Saturday. Are we switching to a Saturday drive for this month?
