Default Does a 06-07 cruise control button work on an 04?

I want to add the new updated cruise control steering wheel controls (from 06+ WRX's) to my 04 in order to eliminate the on/off switch on the dash (I have other plans for that spot!). Is this possible? Is it just a simple rewire to the dash wiring?

Any thoughts would be great!
Thanks!
Matt

Hi,
I have a 06 wrx, and i have the on/off switch still on the dash (near the fog light on/off switch), it may be in 07 or 08 that have it removed or placed on the cruise control stick, im not sure,
are the 04 & or 06/07 cruse control steering wheel controls the same shape size etc, only reason i ask is, if they wernt the same size etc, wouldnt the connection of where it connects to the steering wheel be different and may not connect properly,

I would think we do, so it should be the same.....would you be able to take a pic of your steering wheel/cruise switch for me?? I am trying to figure this out for my 04! I am not even sure that the steering wheels are the same....Thanks!
