Just because it's free, that doesn't make it ok.

Why isn't it okay? It fits, there's no overhang, and it protects my bumper.

Nag nag nag. How about this: if you buy me one that "fits", I'll gladly swap it. In the mean time, the current protector "fits" and does its job just fine.

Then why bother nagging in the first place? Did you run away from the retirement home again Mrs. Robinson?

Constructive criticism. But if you're not willing to accept that you're doing it wrong, there's nothing that can help you.

No no Mrs. Robinson, just because it's labor day it doesn't mean you can skip your pills. ^Constructive criticism by your standards By the way, I'm not sure if you know this little secret: bumper protectors are suppose to protect the bumper....and guess what mine does? If using something for its intended purpose is "doing it wrong"....then I don't want to see you do it right. |

sorry, but I agree with criticism on this one. It should fit and fully extend to protect the entire space. Would you only protect half of your head with a helmet, or would you rather protect half because it's free? Or this bullet proof vest only has half the kevlar that it needs, but damnit it's free so I'm going to call it good..... come on now.

Though I'd argue that your analogy is a bit unfair, since one protects your life, one protects your bumper. I'll go (and did) with the free one and call it good. I did consider when would something damage the bumper that a proper protector can stop but this one can't, and I couldn't justify $50 for a piece of rubber from that conclusion. I mean, 85% of the coverage of the proper one, at 0% of the cost.... Think of it this way: what would you do with $50? I probably have a list about 200 items long before "bumper protector" shows up on the page. Things like...ice cream. Yes, since I'm a freakin' fatass I'd prefer $50 worth of ice cream over a bumper protector! Off topic: Regarding the body armor part: my "proper" size for an eSAPI plate is a large, but I always go for the small (or x-small if I can snag them before the females) since it's lighter and offers more range of motion.
