Default Hi Guys, Maybe Gals... I'm back

2020 Sti

So far, really enjoying the car. It's a pretty fun and engaging drive. I'm coming out of a 2019 z06, so it's been quite a change to say the least, but I do like the car.

I'm already making some changes. Added the body kit, cobb accessport, and speaker/sub/amp...

I think the downpipe is probably next. I'd prefer to stick with the stock axle back for now, I think. After that, I'm not really sure. I'm kind of looking for ideas for things that the 2020 might benefit from... looks or performance wise. I want to keep it somewhat subtle, grownup-ish, but a little more aggressive too.

Maybe wheels and tires, but the stock rims are actually growing on me.

Thoughts???

Josh

I'd say going with sway bars/springs to improve handling. Along with some lighter wheels and tires.

The downpipe should get you to stage 2 if you have the Cobb AP.

Yep, my thoughts exactly. I'm a little iffy on springs, because I'm pretty happy with the ride. But I imagine I will eventually give in.

Car looks great!

If you'd prefer to keep the ride close to stock, I'd avoid sway bars, they always seem to have a surprisingly high impact to ride quality in my experience. Springs are ok if you want to lower the car, RCE Black or Yellow are always a good option.

I don't know what the stock wheels weigh but I wouldn't be surprised if they are quite chunky. A lighter wheel option will help ride quality and going down to something like an 18" wheel with taller sidewall tires will also make quite an improvement for street driving.

I don't necessarily agree with everything in this video, but it's pretty good information:

He bought couple of carbon fiber parts
Deck lid spoiler/hood scoop
I told him about the vinyl wrap of roof
He liked pix I sent him
So now very nice/not ricer look of CF of 3 separate parts
Agreed with sway bars/links as mod
Feels like some F1 tires you installed.....well at least for 2weeks
As far as stage II
