'eh, I get a lot of people asking how I like my SG3 and if it was better than the Iphone4/5 or my old 3GS. My answer, "it's different"

My old 3GS was doing the same thing when I replaced it, but that was after 3 hard years of use. I don't think the Samsung will make it that long.

I've read that some are having the same issue with iPhone 4/4s and it's just hit or miss, either way gonna get it fixed and go from there

Same here. My iPhone 4 never had a single issue with anything, never even crashed or froze up on me. Would still be using it but got a good deal from Hope on a 4S which didn't require me to renew. Hardly have any problems with my 4S except minor issues with iOS updates from time to time. Otherwise they've been solid phones for me.

I think what it comes down to is how people treat their phones and not realizing it. Sure there are some unlucky ones out there(like any electronic device) but it comes down to the user abusing it (dropping, spilling something, never updating, etc) Biggest thing I saw while at Best Buy Mobile was that majority of smart phone users NEVER update their damn phones, nor even back up their data. Yet then they're quick to blame everyone and everything except themselves.

WGMG: Bank hold durations on online transactions & refunds.

One refund hold on an item a vendor no longer carried and had to cancel on me this morning.

Another hold for a PayPal transaction refund for another item.

1k just floating around right now >_<

To be honest. It's usually not the banks fault at all about 90% of the time. It's the vendor.
As soon as the card is swiped or ran and it goes through as "accepted" the funds are in the vendors hands.

Well I should clarify I'm not blaming the bank entirely, mostly PayPal and the Vendor. The PayPal thing could have been avoided but I made a mistake on the order, requested a refund and had to resend the money.I don't have time to wait for parts for 10 days before shipment.

As for the vendor, they should have updated their website on products they no longer carry. Least they were kind enough to immediately call me as soon as they noticed the problem.

Good call. I just hate it when people blame someone for an others fault. It's ridiculous.

Yea I mostly was just referring to the fact that I can see it there, I just can't touch it. Hasn't even been officially deducted for payment from my account, let alone returned.

Try turning off "Location Services" on some unused apps. As well, unless it's needed, turn off email pushes and set to manual or a longer period of pushes. It's made a hell of a difference in battery life on my wife 4 and my 4S. But if your constantly running Pandora or surfing or leaving the Wi-fi turned on, the battery won't make it throughout the day.

WGMG:

Dropping my car off to have an autostart installed and finding out that the particular company doesn't have the firmware for a BRZ Limited available to them yet, even though other autostart companies do, apparently.

Where's the best place to have one installed? I need one for the Evo.

Well, I REALLY like the guys at Northstart. Very sharp, very fair, and they communicate very well. 76th and Old Seward, eastside of Old Seward.

Thanks for the advice, I tried that previously and it was still running hot enough to cook an egg, was even giving a notice screen saying warning the battery was overheating ,

Update: apparently the phone got scared or something cause she is now telling me it's been acting normal all frigging day and it even took a charge to 100% where previously it wouldn't go past 50% , still gonna take it to the apple store and see what's what

Always heard good things about Northstart. Have a friend working at Soundworks (I think it was called) will see how he does. Otherwise perfectionist would be my next choice, though I've heard a few complaints about them.
