Default 2009 Impreza 2.5 cylinder 2 misfire

Hello new Subaru owner here, I just recently purchased a 2009 Impreza 5 speed with 114k miles. Yesterday I noticed that when it is revved at about 4K rpm and above it makes a strange noise that I canít really explain it just doesnít seem normal. Anyways I tried accelerating hard in second gear and it gave me a flashing check engine light for about 5 seconds then disappeared. I went home and scanned it and got back a cylinder 2 misfire code.

If it were me, working up from the easiest and cheapest options first, if the spark plug change doesn't work, I'd maybe try hot soaking the cylinders after warming the car up a bit but not fully. I'd dump seafoam into the spark plug holes and just let it sit in the cylinder overnight, crank in the morning without the spark plugs in because you don't want to bend the valves on the off chance there's enough seafoam in the cylinder to cause dangerous compression, screw them back in, and start it up. But that's just me, just an easy/cheap thing to do worth trying, could be excessive carbon on a valve or something in theory.

That sounds like a pretty involved fix... Piston ring's obliterated I'd guess? Hopefully no piston or cylinder damage but I would almost expect there to be
